Etling is not a "Pro-Style QB" IMO

I don't know where y'all get this from but Etling is not a Zach Mettenburger type QB. Etling threatens defenses with his mobility and that is the difference.

I don't know if he has the talent to play in the NFL but he appears to be what we need at this level to facilitate things.
He is pretty nimble but I think his reads in the passing game are more important.

He's an amateur style QB until he turns pro.

He stays in the pocket and goes through progressions. Doesn't get much more pro than that. He only runs when absolutely necessary.
But perhaps you think Drew Brees is also not pro style.

He's white. That means he's 'pro-style' and 'good' and 'makes good decisions'.

Pro-style doesn't necessarily mean cement feet. Russell was a pro-style QB but was really effective when he needed to run.

He is the modern version of "pro style", same as Rodgers, Big Ben, Wilson, etc

He is a Aaron Rodgers type...a mobile pocket passer...one that is good on his feet and when scrambling keeps his eyes down field...he is def a pass 1st pass 2nd and even pass 3rd then run last....he def isnt a duel threat style either...he is def more of a pro style than duel threat

He's more of a balanced qb. Pocket passer with above average scambling ability. Similar to Matt Flynn

I think Etling's a better quarterback than Harris. That doesn't change, however, the fact that most people on this site think 'pro-style' = white and that people will proclaim that Etling (and a certain J. Lee) 'makes good decisions' despite the turnover record.

You are correct except Rodgers has a A+ arm. Danny is just like Flynn.
