“Coach O usually lays out the keys to the offense. Last year it was ball security, great third-down conversion ratio, shifts and motions. This year it’s going to be different,” Etling said. “It comes down to who does what Coach O wants. They’ll put the guy out who they can trust. Whoever can prove they can do what he and Coach Ensminger want.”

Sounds like McMillan to me

McMillan will not be the starting quarterback at any point this season barring injury from both of the other 2.

If McMillan starts you risk having both of the other guys transfer leaving you super duper fricked for years to come.

How is this different than choosing any as a starter? If you choose Brennan would McMillan and Narcisse think about transferring? If you choose Narcisse would not Brennan and McMillan think about it? Choose the best. If the other two get beat out and wanna leave because their feelings are hurt then bye.

Wait, wait, wait. So the QB is gonna be the guy who does best what the head coach and OC want? Brilliant, Danny.

No, if McMillan was going to transfer he would've done it by now. Roll with one of the other two and you have McMillan as the backup even if one decides to transfer. One gets a year of experience or both get some experience and you bring in a QB in the next class. If you start McMillan and both others transfer next year you're left with a true freshman and a proven incapable.

If MB starts you run the risk of JM leaving and LN transferring... and you are Super Duper "Fricked" again.

But I think you are WRONG if JM starts, LN stays and he hopes MB transfers!!!

All Danny Etling did at LSU was the best he could every play. I wonder where we would of been without him last year. A couple of "Keyboard Jockeys" are pretty brave on here trashing him but to what purpose. He did his best and at times it was pretty damn good

I was unsure before, but now I’m confident.
O is a great offensive mind and QB evaluator.

God help us

Well, if O wants to keep his job, he and Ensminger will put the QB on the field that gives them the best chance to win.

The thinking that you would play another guy (that provides a lesser chance of success) for fear of depth related transfers doesn’t make any sense from the perspective of self preservation.
