In a timely manner.

Can't remember a more serious Travis Etienne in media availability than today. On Orgeron expressing regret this week over his recruitment: "I can't find validation in that because I'm not out here looking for validation from other men, honestly."

SIAP

Look, I understand that he was upset he wasn’t the first choice, but he did get an offer.

O admitted to making a mistake.

Sounds like he’s still got something against O after these years.

He Needs to let it go
I think his decision worked out great for himself and what he's accomplished there

So he’s a whiner, just like his coach.

Got it.

Sounds like he's confident in his own abilities and doesn't need outside validation, IMO.

I didn't take it as a shot at O.

ETA - I can't find a direct Q&A, but apparently a reported her to tell him what Orgeron said. He wasn't already aware of it. I'd imagine the reporter asked him specifically about validation, hence the response.

Turns out we didn't need him. Seems we've done just fine.

The funny part of all this is Clemson offered him after we did, and he chose to go there, yet is upset we didn't offer him sooner

Well, it worked out just fine for him. Most people have been overlooked at some point in some way. I’m sure my wife’s first choice would have been Brad Pitt, but sometimes you just get what you get, and don’t pitch a fit.

I think it’s the media making it more of a big deal than what it is. Kind of like the so-called death threats their family has received.

I could be wrong, but I thought we offered before Clemson did. Now obviously it was late in the process, and he was in state so I can see how he would feel slighted, but let’s not act like Clemson knew all along what a diamond in the rough he was...

I think it’s worked out pretty good for him and I’d bet he wouldn’t change it at all!

He's just being a bitch at this point, we offered him before Clemson.

Exactly. Just another hit-piece to pass the days and generate clicks.

Eaux didn't make a mistake. That ship had sailed before Eaux had the authority to offer.

Hopefully that decision maker isn't making decisions anymore at #LSU

Yep. Been saying for three years on the Recruiting board every time this subject comes up. Clemson offered Etienne two weeks after LSU did. Sometimes players just get their feelings hurt.

In hindsight, both teams ended up just fine.

Sounds like he's one of those Doug Baldwin types who is going to find disrespect where there isn't any in order to motivate himself.

Much like Najee Harris did, I expect him to have a great game. I also expect him to lose like Harris did as well.

How in the world is this quote being "salty"?
quote:

"I can't find validation in that because I'm not out here looking for validation from other men, honestly."

Sounds to me like he's happy where he is and isn't worried about what happened in the past. Definitely not a shot at LSU or O.

What do you people want him to say? That he wishes he would be at LSU right now and shite on Clemson?

The only reason Clemson came in with an offer is because another RB decommitted from them close to signing day

It's not like LSU was desperate for a RB at that time.
All the RB's from LSU are in the league and he would not have seen the immediate time at LSU like he did at Clemson

That's probably how Daboo got him. Preaching his ridiculous disrespect BS.
