ESPNU Film Room - Media impressed with Brandon Harris's throws vs SC.

Just now on ESPNU Film Room, in reviewing the match-up of LSU vs Fla they didn't show a breakdown of Fournette's runs which is what I had expected. They showed a breakdown of all of Harris's throws and some of Harris's runs against S.C., and they came away very impressed.

I think if we went more up tempo consistently it would help Harris have better rythym and also help the perception of him as a qb because we would get more plays each game.

We can do that but we don't want to curb his development with tempo.
Example A. Jameis is a great Pro Style QB that excells in uptempo and faced situations but struggles when the game slows down and he has to consitently make reads and progressions (I love watching Jaboo fyi)
While yes HUNH may assist Harris, we don't want it to affect his development as a true pocket passer and game manager.

A bunch of them weren't those stat padding dink and dunk bull shite, They were point throws in the seam that the wide receiver was trusted to go up and get

What do the fools at ESPN know that the Rant doesn't?

The one he threw 25-30 yards downfield, over the linebackers and under the DB's was money, it was awesome.

He was impressive, especially his decision making and his poise on that final drive of the first half. Almost forgot how good those unis looked.

quote:that needs to be our alternate unis going forward. We looked really sharp Saturday. I love the standard unis but IMO we need to always do the white/purple/white combo when we aren't in the traditional uniform. And we need to do it twice a year instead of once. One non conference and one conference game.
Almost forgot how good those unis looked.

We've done it some this year. Tried to vs EMU iirc? Receiver had butter on their gloves

I hope we never go up tempo. Up tempo can hurt your defense more than it can help your offense.
Plus our offense has the horses to say we can play you straight up man vs man and we think our players will win the 1 on 1 battle.
