This is the only exciting thing that ULL will have to talk about all season long

Yes, the people who try to say that there is no difference between UL and ULM are just silly. UL blows them out of the water....as they do with every other UL System school....with every measure you look at.
Not mention the fact that ULM first tried to market themselves as "Louisiana" way before UL did.....and it never took.

Borrowed from a Cajun Fan, but too relevant not to include on this subject:

"They are only ranked because of COVID"
-We are ranked because we had a 10-1 record with a road win against the Big 12 Runner-Up/Fiesta Bowl Champions

“2020 didn’t count anyway.”
-Translation: "We weren't good, so we will downplay the season."

“Iowa State wasn’t any good.”
-Translation: "ULLLL beat them so, by default, we would've spanked them because we are LSU!!!"
-The true reality is that Iowa State's offense might've set passing records on that putrid LSU defense.

So you're predicting a regression from last season? Because last year had some exciting things for Cajuns fans to talk about, no?

Cmon man, you know exactly what he means: USL has not, and will never amount to anything! 2020 doesn’t count! 2021 will be bust! Billy Napier is overrated!

In other words.....we need to always keep in mind what our place is.

Got news for you Cajuns most Tiger fans could care less about your success. When we notice you are winning like any other state school we root for you. Sorry to tell you that you are not a competitor except every other year when we pay one of you a million or more for a win. And I’m glad we do it not because the games are usually competitive but because we reduce the burden of the state in funding or helping fund your athletic department. The distance you think you have traveled from your south land/sunbelt foes is somewhere less than half of where you would have to go to be taken seriously. Congrats on your ranking by ESPN and I’ll be pulling for you in your bowl game as well.

Well, I can give you points for your somewhat creative turn of a "know your place, dammit!" post, but that would then be negated by the unnecessary wordiness of it.

BTW, I thought that ULM had Warhwarks as their mascot? When did it change to tiggers?

ETA: I also have to throw some reality your way....9 pages and counting for this thread is sure a funny way for showing how much 'we don't care' lol

227 Public university athletic departments across the country listed here, only 15 go without allocating any monies from their general fund.

6.6 percent. The ones who go without all have at least an 87 Million dollar budget.

Tech is the second best school in the State.

LSU, Tech, the rest.

1. This guy's post, as well as several others that respond to your pathetic and obsessive need to bring up the past (which I guess is to make you feel better about the present/future) says it better than I can

re: ESPN's post-spring football top 25 ranks ULL ahead of LSU. Posted on 5/4/21 at 4:20 pm to Tiger in NY

What does Ancient History have to do with 2020 and 2021?

The Ramblin Acadians would have put up at least 50 on the LSU Defense last season. We're looking at a 55-50 game.

Who know what happen in 2021.

Historical scores don't mean jack shite currently.

Something is absolutely not right somewhere when USL is ranked higher and receives more national attention than LSU.

2. But I get it: your "know your place, dammit!" position is very clear. USL will never be worthy of much.

Up Votes = 41 ....Down Votes = 14

That would be the final score....

LSU - 41
UL-L - 14

With your history of predictions, you’re setting up a Cajun win over the Tigers if they ever play again.

The Cajuns have a much better overall sports program than tech. Football and softball both nationally ranked. Baseball a little down this year, but still a perennial winner

they sure are trying hard to sell this Iowa State narrative... tough squad, consistently beat teams they shouldn't, but no where close to challenging on the national stage

Recruiting rankings as per 24/7 sports

2019 UL - 77 La Tech - 83 Tulane - 94
2020 UL - 82 LA Tech - 79 Tulane - 69
2021 UL - 68 LA Tech - 119 Tulane - 80

I'd say over the past three years its UL who would be the second best football program....and rising
