Right... how could they be so blatant?

They barely ever mentioned LSU from Dec-Jan. And were especially silent about our Tigers in their own SEC Network.

How could you ESPN???

I got my pitchfork ready.

It really must be frustrating to go through life looking for "slights" at every turn. There have been multiple ESPN peronalities who have discussed NUMEROUS times, that they thought this LSU team was one of, if not the best in college football history. Yet, one line (quoted out of context) from a opinion piece is the impetus to finally come of of the shadows on Tigerdroppings and express anger?

For full context, yes, the Clemson/LSU game was probably somewhat boring for the average college football fan who had no rooting interest. Was it better than 100? Probably. But it wasn't that great of a game.

And this is the full Bama/LSU write up for those who aren't looking to be perpetually offended:

quote:

For all intents and purposes, LSU won this game in the final minute of the first half, when Clyde Edwards-Helaire plunged into the end zone from a yard out, Patrick Queen picked off a Tua Tagovailoa pass and Edwards-Helaire scored again, all in the span of 20 seconds. A 19-13 lead became an insurmountable 33-13.

Not wrong there. It was a blowout in the first half. And would have ranked far lower than #2 had it remained a blowout. But....

quote:

What made this game great, however -- besides the top-five rankings and obvious title stakes, beyond the backstory (LSU hadn't beaten Bama since 2011) and beyond the star power on the field and sideline -- was how relentlessly Alabama indeed tried to surmount it. The Tide twice cut the lead to one score and forced LSU to keep scoring to survive.

That actually happened. I saw it! Was it not great drama (even for the non-affiliated fan) to watch LSU answer the bell time and time again with Bama desperately trying to come back? Oh, it was...

quote:

LSU and Joe Burrow (31-for-39 for 393 yards and three touchdowns) obliged, flipping a 33-27 lead to 39-27, then turning 39-34 into 46-34.

The Clemson/OSU was a tremendous game. BOTH teams could have argued they should have been the No. 1 seed (I said argued. Not that the arguments would have been persuasive). It was the first time two 14-0 teams met in the semi-finals. There were tons of great plays. OSU jumped out to a nice lead...Clemson responded. Then the second half was a tension filled as any game this season (considering the stakes), finally ending in the final minute with a turnover on a last ditch drive for OSU. I hate to break it to you, but it WAS the best game we saw all season.

And finally, in your argument for why "ESPN hates LSU" you forgot to mention the LSU/Texas game was ranked #7 on the list

I'll be honest, I've followed it this week and thought the same thing. I mean he had about 25 d3 games ranked higher that any LSU game this year.

It doesn't bother me in the least, but bill, you're a fricking retard.

I’ll say LSU Vs Clemson will feature more NFL roster spots in 5 years than Clemson Ohio state.

I'm surprised it even made the list. It was competitive for only about 20 game minutes.
Nah, Clemson briefly made it a game in the 2nd half. They cut it to 3 once, and had they not called offensive pass interference (which it was, but it was also a beautiful pass), they would have done it again. They were outgunned, but they fought.

From a close nail bitter, I can see their point. But you are correct, ESPN is a tool organization that has an agenda.

The championship really wasnt much of a contest. After the fist quarter, it was pretty much an as# kicking.
