It doesn't matter. LSU needs to play a big boy team and win against a storied program like Michigan. Playing somebody they will likely beat does nothing for the program. And that's not to say Penn State wouldn't be a tough out. But a UCF-type matchup would do more for them than LSU.

I truly believe that LSU has a better offense than Michigan.......

I'm not sure how you could say this. I mean there are offensive rankings that prove this statistically incorrect, but just the eye test would be enough for most.

I'd like to play the game, but our defense will need to carry the load. Our offense is trash.

I think the citrus bowl needs to know not to pick us because they’ll get like a 2000 LSU fans. Enough is enough with that bowl.

I don't think LSU has ever played Michigan. This would be a good game. I like LSU'S chances.

Oklahoma beats Texas this time for sure . Now , if Northwestern beats Ohio St the
Tigers are in . Other than that we will get Pitt or Penn St on a Dec30th game and still get
a 10 win season which will be big for the program . To add another point is , Tigers let
A&M score with 1:30 left on clock and let them gobble up some huge plays doing it .
Just like the ND bowl game last year . And most important they throw a 21 yard TD with
time expired. And yes the defense sucked as it always does with the game on the line .
The truth hurts some people so go ahead and down vote away . That’s mostly what I’ve
gotten sense joining this year anyway . You tell the truth for what you see as a past player and the coach wanna bees downvote .

They're not an opponent that matches up well for what our team does well. How does that not make sense?

It's not a matter of not wanting to play them.

They are assuming the Oklahoma win so that would put a four lost Texas team in the Sugar Bowl?

LSU has way to much team speed and defense that Patterson would be like WTF?????????????

Peej you have drinking too much. Now you can't tell offense from defense. Patterson is their QB and to my knowledge he wouldn't be playing on their defense.

A 4 loss Texas team will not get in.

Here is where it stands.

Below are basically guarantees to getting in:

Alabama
Clemson
Notre Dame
Ohio State/OU/ UGA

Let’s assume OU and Ohio State both win next week and UGA loses.
Let’s also assume UCF wins against Memphis.

Rose:
Washington vs Michigan

Sugar:
OU vs Georgia

Peach:
UCF vs Florida

Fiesta:
Washington State vs LSU/penn State (depends on who playoff committee ranks higher on Tuesday)

If Texas beats OU and UCF win then we are basically 100% out because both texas and OU would get NY6 spots (with other teams above)
OU winning and UCF losing gives us a 99% chance of getting in. UCF would lose its spot opening it up for Penn State and LSU.

It all depends Tuesday. If we are ranked one spot AFTER Penn State then our ONLY hope is UCF and Texas losing.
If we are ranked ahead of Penn State we need OU to win. UCF game wouldn’t really matter. (But like I said them losing 100% helps us). It’s the big 12 championship game that matters the most if we want in on NY6 game.
