22) LSU 1-0 The Tigers got the win they needed -- against a depleted North Carolina team, 30-24 -- but the fact they nearly squandered a 20-point halftime lead is sure to raise eyebrows. Patrick Peterson and Russell Shepard were among the few bright spots for LSU

They failed to mention that we put in backups and freshmen in the 3rd quarter

We all wondered before the game if this would spin this way. Looks like we barely beat a crappy team and ESPN is spinning this that way

Meh - 10 weeks from now, no-one will care or remember.

Especially if UNC plays up to their ability and is still a Top 25 team late in the season (which I predict they will be Top 20).

UNC started and played the whole game with freshmen. And walk ons....

you fail to mention that UNC played with backups and Freshman all game. aside from the big plays made by Shepard and Peterson, LSUs offense was mired in futility. when you have a 20 point lead playing against 2nd teamers with your 1st team offense i'd hope you extend that lead, oh wait we are talking about the Bumbling twosome of Miles and Crowton

They also failed to mention UNC fumbled the ball the first 2 times they had the ball and that their 3rd string rb got hurt at the beginning of the game.

That is the reason we don't finish strong.

The national media sometimes reflects the attitudes of fanbases. They smell blood in the water on Coach Miles cuz alot of our fans have a toxic attitude

Choctaw, do you have reserved seats in Les Miles' suite? you sure do beat the drum for him a lot, only to be made to look like a fool over and over and over because of his nonsensical, half witted, dopey and futile coaching ability. join the dark side it's much better over here. CAUSE WE ARE RIGHT!!!!!

The more I read/watch ESPN, the more apparent it becomes that they have a specific agenda. I'm not going to jump on the "ESPN hates LSU" bandwagon, but it is pretty clear that they have specific narratives that they want to spin to the public. See Boise St. coverage.

I don't really think it's personal. I think they'll do whatever they think will maximize viewership and profit. Some teams are darlings, some aren't.

We aren't.

We played with freshman and backups the whole game. Their amazing linebackers all played while we only had one that had any real significant playing time before this game. The only area where freshman were not playing for us was qb and offensive line. Oh and rb, but they should have. I forgot to add we play with walkons also.

It doesn't matter what we win by. If we won 37-10 it still would have been spun. This was a lose lose for lsu. And we were the lower ranked team.

When we win our conference, our division, or even our bowl game...maybe some deserved respect.
