To watch the game on Saturday, must you have a TV subscription and add ESPN+?

Or can you simply sign up for ESPN+ directly with ESPN?

I’m one of those affected by DirectTV deal. Thanks in advance!

It come on SECN+ as well, Completely different than espn+

Blows my mind how people still get this confused. If you have a cable subscription just login and you can watch secn+

SECN is part of Disney, his cable provider login won’t work for that.

ESPN+ is a completely separate entity you can sign up for independently.

LSUs next two games are both on ESPN+

ESPN+ is streaming via internet. You don’t need any TV subscription.

If you have SECN you can watch games on SECN+. You can use your cable provider login.

The game is on SECN+ and ESPN+. If the game was only on ESPN + you would have get a separate subscription for it.

That’s what I thought but I’ve read multiple times that you must have a TV subscription to access ESPN+.

Got it now.

It is on ESPN+ and ABC. Just like tomorrow's game is available on SECN+ and ESPN+.

You only need an ESPN+ subscription when that is the only service showing the game.

This game is available on ESPN+ it’s not “only” on ESPN+ (very rarely are our games avail on ESPN+). The ESPN app will try to trick you into getting ESPN+. You will need to actually look for the SECN+ entry and click on that one.

The South Carolina game is on ABC.

I have a subscription to Directv. I know I need to ditch Directv, but it's frustrating trying to figure out all the different things I'll need to subscribe to . A lot of y'all recommend Youtube TV, but the SEC Network is not on Youtube TV. I want to be able to watch LSU football and baseball. In addition, my wife will need access to the tv channels our young grandchildren watch when they're here. She's really technically limited. Directv is convenient, but I'm tired of getting screwed every year when college football rolls around.

ETA: I like that I can record games on Directv. During deer hunting season, if I leave the deer stand on time and drive one hour straight home, I can watch the 1st and 2nd quarter recorded, buzz through halftiime and be caught up w/ the live broadcast when the 3rd starts. Do any streaming services. allow one to record a broadcast?

Yeah, I have plenty good reasons to keep DirecTV too. To get Astros games, ability to change channels directly by entering channel number only,, record events, watch when internet is down, etc

Every time this thread comes up, there’s multiple guys that respond saying how stupid it is to keep DirecTV, then go on to tell you something completely or partially wrong about subscriptions. LOL
