If you think about it like this, it was a big favor to LSU, just not perfect. SB had to play two extra games, including one on Monday night. Most likely, they are traveling from Miami back to NY, then from NY to BR for another game Friday morning with their ace having pitched in two games.

What would have really been hating LSU is to have the Sat, Sun, Mon series.

This, LSU sells out every game throughout the season. You don't think it will be the same this postseason?

Like was previously said, Stoney Brook won't pull in a ton of national viewers. There are bigger games, this isn't about LSU.

Note to LSU fan who gets angry about everything ESPN does...we are not the only university in America.

Can't you people just take solice in the fact that they were slotted there due to a much lesser opponent, thus potentially giving them an easier run to Omaha?

Shhh!! This will ruin the pity party.

If you dont think ESPN will sell the NYC market HARD on ESPNU and ESPNnewyork.com, then you are crazy.

Or did you forget what happened when Rutgers was unbeaten? And NYC doesn't give a frick about college football either.

Do you remeber Linsanity? ESPN made him an icon because he beat the Wizards and Bobcats.

Fact is, this is ESPN and this is how they think. Their attitude is that it will be relevant because it is happening in New York City. This is how ALL the media think. Remember last week when the big story was how Bloomberg was banning the big drinks? Don't tell me a NYC doubleheader was an accident.

Doesn't the NCAA get the money from attendance? Or at least a cut?
The NCAA is guaranteed a set amount as specified in the bid LSU submitted. The NCAA will get that amount even if the stands are empty.

LSU is taking the financial risk, not the NCAA.

Dude, the games are at fricking Noon and 3PM EST.

If there was a fix in, do you think they'd show the games during the middle of the day in the busiest city in the country/world?

Come on, brah...

One of the biggest problems in society today is people looking for someone to blame everytime something doesn't go their way.
