The bottom line is that all four of the announcers at the CWS are solid...They don't aggravate me and I learn some interesting facts from both Orel and Robin.
Remember for us every pitch is life and death but for the announcers last night was a 9-1 blowout.

He even repeated himself later in the broadcast that the Tigers basically looked like the team to beat. Can't say that statement bothered me much.

All the Mitchell stuff was pretty good - they were worshipping him with all the quickness talk, how he must be tough playing wide receiver in the SEC, him reading laffy taffy jokes.

I understand. This is a young prick who needs attention. Post bitch, then await responses. I know I should ignore this bullshite, but it just pisses me off. Oh well.

Bring back Harold Reynolds

Yeah, because after years of him telling me, I still don't know the proper way to bunt.

I actually ed at the corny jokes. Orel was clowning on his delivery but I thought it was pretty funny.

I am posting this under my friend/neighbors account(floridaboy) who brought this thread to my attention.

Just wanted to let most of you guys know I appreciate your comments about the job Orel is doing during the CWS broadcasts. It's hard to please everyone but I think he does a good job too. However, being his brother might make me somewhat biased

Good luck to LSU the rest of the series. From what I've seen on TV you guys have a great team and first class coach. Even though I went to Bama back in the 80's I am pulling for you guys to win it all.

I don't think Hershiser was the issue it was the rest of the morons from ESPN. I wonder how long it will take Mike Patrick and Kyle Peterson to get the taste of Augie's arse out of there mouths. Every ten seconds there kissing Augie's arse.

What happened to Harold Reynolds? I liked the way he explained why coaches made certain decisions. He was very easy to understand too. He made it easy for Alabama fans to follow the game.

I can't stand Orel either. I know he was a good pitcher, but the dude won't shut up and quit acting like he's the best of all time. He's got a comment about every small minor thing that happens in the game. We understand you're perfect Orel, but just shut up from time to time. He knows what he's talking about, but he doesn't have to make a remark for every little thing.

i like his breakdown, but he can't shut up. his comment last night about UT 6'7" pitcher..."he's a tall drink of water" made me laugh and then immediately mute tv. he gave me a headache. ESPN needs to rethink announcers next year.

I thought Orel and Robin did a great job, esp Orel with his explanations of pitching and how he used great hitters like Robin to help him become a better pitcher.

I thought they did an excellent job.

Yes they had some bad research at times but Hershiser's mini-clinics were great.

they did not mention ONCE that T J Forrest used to play for LSU last night. The other night when Chad Jones pitched, there was no football video to be seen.

They finally did mention the other night, that T J Forrest used to play for LSU, and they did show CJ's football highlights last night as well as the night before!

I too thought Orel and Ventura gave some great insight.
