I don't like ESPN or UNC. But the circumstances are a bit....different.

In a multitude of ways.
Other than "UNC is superstar", what's so different?

Both schools are disappointed in their performance, and seek to improve it. Carolina's problem was a close 1st round loss in the NCAA tournament, LSU's has been being stuck in the bottom of the SEC standings and missing the postseason.

Both schools think they are better than that. In LSU's case, they KNOW they can do better, as Wade had them in the NCAA every season. So they went out and brought him back.
In Carolina's case... they think they should be Sweet 16 minimum, so they're going to go out and grab someone they believe will get them there.

If anything, LSU is the program making the more reasonable move.

The double standard was that cocksucker Roy Williams at UNC. He was calling Lester Earl while Earl was playing in a tournament for LSU. Got Earl to lie about Dale. Dickie V would slobber all over Roy Williams any chance he got.

Duke was paying Zion - which Zion pretty much admitted… crickets.

frick all of them.

If Wade left NCST for Kansas or UNC, they'd be praising the hire and how they were able to get him after only 1 year in Raleigh.

If USC, Texas, Ohio State, etc had Kiffin, Jay Johnson, Wade and Mulky they would call it the dream team.

They aren't going to say those things about us hillbilly Cajuns.

I would take all 3 of them over the others you listed. Definitely Fowler and Herby.

What about Simmons time here at LSU. It was exactly the same at Duke other than Johnny Jones not having him in check and pushing that team.

They’d still be poaching a coach that’s actively employed at another school. That’s what the media says LSU is a bad guy for doing

Agree with everything else, but Idk why you are acting like UNC believing they should be sweet 16 every year is so crazy.

They absolutely should. It’s North Carolina basketball, arguably the biggest brand in the sport.

It’s the same standard that we have for LSU football. Kelly got canned for not making the playoff. Hubert got canned for not making the sweet 16. Both programs should absolutely be in the mix every year in their respective sport.

Not disputing that UNC should be there every year at all.

But my point is this: they are likely going big-name hunting, will target someone's "franchise" coach, and will be praised for that.

LSU on the other hand, targeted a safe upgrade. You know Wade can win 20 games at LSU, because he did that consistently when he was here. He knows the high school landscape and knows how to get enough guys to come here. It's not just that we hope he can, he's done it here already.

We followed him with another mid-major guy, similar resume, who failed horribly. McMahon couldn't make the transition to SEC play like Wade did.

Outside of a game being on, my TV is never on ESPN. You have to go out of your way to hear anything that loudmouth and the jew say. I have never watched either one of them. Stop torturing yourself. You’d enjoy sticking needles in your balls more than listening to those guys.

But Loudmouth and The Jew would be a good name for their show.

You realize that ESPN has to pretend to care about all of this so they have stories

No ESPN on my TV unless LSU is playing. Then I usually mute it.

I don't like pain. It hurt to watch Herby cry. It hurts to listen to Stephen A.

This can’t be emphasized enough. The ESPN’s of the world don’t want to tarnish the blue bloods while bashing the non-blue blood programs for the same behavior.

Nothing wrong with having a standard, but keep it consistent for all schools and not just the darling programs that bring the most ratings.
