Herbie is so USC centric its disgusting.

Here we go again with the USC suckfest that we had to put up with from 2004-2007

i thnk bama should stay number 1 until they loose or until another team outperforms them in consecutive weeks. If they beat Michigan they will probably move up to number 1. LSU in the top 3 would be fine. USC getting a lot of hype with an easy schedule

"I really don't know how they can put USC over us. They weren't that great last year an lost their best olineman"
You can't be serious thinking USC wasn't really good last year. They were one triple OT game (against a BCS Bowl team) of being 11-1. They will be very, very good on offense this year. I think you can flip a coin between them and LSU as to who should start off #1. The questions you have about them on defense are no different then questions LSU will have on offense. That is a very good football team and I won't be suprised to see USC-LSU in the title game.

Um, yea USC's offense is going to be great. I hate them, and ESPN, but with Barkley coming back, they'll be good. And then they'll lose to us on Jan 7th.

If USC comes out as number one they might sit there for a while. Oregon and Notre Dame games are both in November. Not much else on the schedule to challenge them.

Stanford and Oregon are the two best teams on their schedule. Syracuse, Hawaii, and Notre dame are their OC games. Not a difficult road for the Trojans.

USC is so overrated. If one part of the holy trinity goes down, then they go to being slighly above average on offense. Together though they are a holy trinity.
Likewise, they may have the best lb unit in CFB. However, they are inexperienced on the dline and have no depth.

lol at the Fla St hype again, Manuel is awful and Oregon lost Thomas and James, not sure they should be that high either

If we lost the people that bama freaking lost we would number 8. Such bias.

They will have Bennett, De'Anthony Thomas, Barner (almost 1000 yards last year) in the backfield. Oregon is better than last year. RB will be a donwgrade but what Oregon gets at WR will tilt the balance.

Well I hope the hype continues all year. And Then:
1) we meet them in Miami
2) we make up for our inept performance against one of our own last January.

They are not making it to Miami. Kiffin is a douchebag and that team is not going unscathed in the Pac-10.
