re: I thought Loston was supposed to be a head hunter?
Posted by cfredi1 on 10/3/13 at 12:34 am to LSUalreadyknow
tough to be a head hunter in a deep cover 2 base defense. Quarterbacks have been attacking the sidelines rather than over the middle against LSU. Not being able to stop the run or keep contain forces you db's to come up and be out of position. I think the leg injury has really hurt loston's coverage ability against Georgia, as a result Eugene has played more and played poorly.
re: CFB's 2013 top 10 toughest schedules

I think Kentucky has the toughest schedule in the nation going to Alabama and having to play Florida, South Carolina and Georgia in the east and Louisville in the non-conference.

jimbo fisher...good recruiter that could keep lsu as a premiere sec contender, but we need miles to stay

Fla and USC had good running qb's that combined for 0 total yards. I think Manziel will have to throw from the pocket and will have to read a lot of complex coverages and blitz from the Tiger D. If Manziel is forced to beat LSU through the air it will be a long day for "Johnny Football" if he makes it through the game.

re: DO previous injuries have Craig Loston playing scared/conservative?

I actually think Loston outplayed Reid in the North Texas game and played solid against a good washington passing attack. Except for one bad angle on a miss play by Reid he has played his position extremely well.

ware of tackle to the left side
hittin into double plays killed us. hanover should never hit a fly ball on a hit and run, you are suppose to hit a ground ball right where the 2nd baesman would have been before he goes to cover 2nd base. Eades has had control problems and keeps gettin behind in the count, and he dosen't have enough movement on his fast ball to fool sec hitters when he is pitching from behind.

j.c. copeland....unlimited potential as a 275 lb fullback

i thnk bama should stay number 1 until they loose or until another team outperforms them in consecutive weeks. If they beat Michigan they will probably move up to number 1. LSU in the top 3 would be fine. USC getting a lot of hype with an easy schedule
this matchup favors lsu because kentucky's starting pitchers have not been winning them games. kentucky has a deep bullpen with a lot of good middle relivers and kentucky takes advantage of mistakes in the field by their oponents and timely hitting. lsu does not make a lot of errors and lsu's bullpen is loaded for a big weekend and the tigers have been getting the big hits and are finding ways to win games. i say lsu takes the first two and sunday depends on how nola pitches
re: Predicted LSU Depth Chart

pretty accurate...ronnie vinson now plays cornerback and will resume the ron brooks roll
7.5...could have been a 9 or so with collins and kiel, but louisiana did not have a good class state wide and i think gonzalez leaving might have caused some recruits like patterson and tracy howard to look elsewhere. 2013 and 2014 are looking to be strong classes in Louisiana and lsu will not let big recruits leave Louisiana like they did this year
replace hilliard with spencer ware....it will be running back by committee but ware will start because of experience and versatility.

i dont care who we have missing. a new qb on a one dimensional offense wont do much against a still very talented defense :geauxtigers:

41-17.... close for a while lsu wears down mississipi state and scores some late touchdowns
I think that we have to make it through Oregon, Mississipi st, and West Virginia in the first month.Every LSU game this year is big with the exception of Northwestern st and western kentucky/ W ith so many huge early games its easy to put games like Arkansas and Flordia to the side for the time being
so we bought a bunch of recruiting package bundles that happened to include some players that were already at other places....not a big deal...the ncaa has already wrapped up the lyles ties to lsu...the ncaa dosent care about the videos or the prices they just wanted to make sure we were not paying for him to swing players towards lsu. OTL is trying to make a story out of nothing. LSU is in good standings with the NCAA and has cooperated completely...nothinh to hide that regards to lyles
listen to masconna on 104.5 fm from 3-6. its a better show with better guests and masconna always does his homework and it is very lsu oriented.
Bowe, Clayton, and Reed are all over the lsu record books. If Clayton would have stayed for another year he would be first in every category. Bowe has had the best pro career. Clayton was the best all around reciever to ever wear the purple and gold.
