Key isn't saddled with the anti-pressure Brick Haley. He should have much more production than Mingo.

I agree Brick was a terrible coach, but Mingo was asked to play a ton of contain instead of pinning his ears back. That's defensive scheme, that's chavis.

People say this, but the scheme didn't seem to hurt Garrett (13 sacks) or Hall (7 sacks). I think Brick was an enormous problem.

The guy got held a lot this year. They hardly ever call the linemen putting their hands in the facemask.

Different scheme. Chavis has evolved, but there were a ton of times were Mingo would blow by the Tackle then freeze. Watch the Ole Miss A&M game, they run at Myles because he is constantly over pursuing. Also Hall had 4 sacks against Arizona State.

If I was LSU I'd make a video of all the holds and send it to the league office every week until someone starts paying attention

And those are the six highest ranked players in that class. Impressive job by the recruiting services.

Chavis didn't evolve, and Brick is not a poor coach. Chavis adapted to the talent he had in College Station.

The fine fellas with the Minnesota Vikings appear to disagree. I personally thought we expected too much from an intern.

Key (and Beckwith) was an absolute beast in the bowl game and nearly unstoppable. He's honestly one of if not the player I'm most excited to see on the field next year.

And the Chicago Bears as well. Brick might not be a bad coach, but his tenure with LSU was pathetic, as was his recruiting.
