Eric Reid is a very smart guy. Had he not committed to play for LSU, he would likely have a degree from Stanford.
Here's some of what Reid had to say:
quote:
“I just wanted to show my support for him and the cause that he is trying to bring awareness to,” Reid said. “I had an in depth conversation with him before the game, and he saw a lot of backlash about him sitting down and he wanted to make it clear that his message wasn’t to disrespect the military or to disrespect the national anthem in any way. “He decided to change his position by taking a knee to be more respectful to the military and national anthem but still wanted to bring awareness to the issues that he believes are in this country, and I whole-heartedly agree that there are issues in this country. “I think it is very brave of him to continue to stand up for what he believes in while also changing his physical position to be respectful to the military.”
If you really want to hear Kapernick talk about it, you can hear for yourself right here:

not the President,
who gives us democracy.
It is the soldier,

who has given us Freedom of Press.
It is the soldier,
not the poet,
who has given us Freedom of Speech.
It is the soldier,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us the Freedom to Demonstrate.
It is the soldier,
who salutes the flag,
who serves beneath the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag
that allows the protester to burn the flag.

You apparently lack the same basic reasoning skills that Reid and Kap do. Also, it doesn't appear you're able to read very well. Most places have adult learning annexes that could probably help you.

This is a little deeper than that...and if you don't get that, then you are one of them.

It's not just historical illiteracy. It's a moral illiteracy. He doesn't know what he doesn't know . He just doesn't know. But he knows the frick out of some Cultural Marxism, because he's been fed a steady diet of it his whole life. Of all the statements he could make at this specific time in our nations history, this is among the worst.

It is bs. Plain and simple. No accountability in this group...always the same.

If you want to see something worse just flip on the VMAs. Couldn't wait more than 5 minutes before they had someone spitting off some political stuff and hating on our current president.

Yep. I'm still waiting to hear what their endgame is.

Great link, no sarcasm at all. Again though, where is the logical, factual argument based in reality and backed up by empirical evidence? Basically the entire argument is built upon, well, nothing but bullshite. Kap is a disgrace. Anyone who looked up to Castro and Guevara is a disgrace to humanity or just a complete fricking mongoloid. But Reid? If he's as intelligent as you say, why support something that is patently untrue that's being championed by a complete fraud like Kap? Again, it seems like an attention grab.

They are Good Ole boys when they're scoring touchdowns but God forbid they stand up for what they believe in or give an opinion lol.

Yeah but the VMAs are just virtue signaling bullshite where celebs so detached from reality that it isnt even funny, vomit forward carefully crafted statements prepared by their marketing departments. Anyone who takes a celebrity, of all people, seriously when it comes to matters of every day life for Americans is a fricking idiot.

Exactly what part of his "argument" are you talking about?
Posted on 8/27/17 at 7:36 pm to NamariTiger
That's the point. What do they believe in? Can they articulate it in any meaningful way? Because the things they're saying aren't based on facts or reality.

NOT ONE BLESSED NFL GAME WILL I WATCH THIS YEAR.
I know it won't matter.....I'm only one person....but it has to start somewhere!

That white cops are the great threat to the black community. That there is currently systemic oppression of blacks and minorities that prevent them from succeeding. That the good boys over in pigeon town are being victimized and face police brutality every day.
