You said

quote:

Idk You could have saved a few of us some time by just letting this be your only post in this thread.

And now you’re saying

quote:

It's a message board, hoss. People can post about anything they want regardless of the knowledge they possess. Take a look at the nonsense you keep posting in this thread for an example.

You’re being a douche. Not because you disagree with me, but because you’re disagreeing with your self while being condescending on both ends.

He said this back on 9/25/17 in The NY Times...

“I am aware that my involvement in this movement means that my career may face the same outcome as Colin’s.”

He’ll never play another down in the league.

You’re calling people out on talking nonsense while defending your right to talk without any knowledge AND calling me out specifically for talking nonsense.

Pretty contradictory.

Very douchey.

It’s fine. Like this is a message board. You can act however you like, but it’s not because you disagree with people. It’s because you’re a douche about it.

Short version he didn't file a lawsuit he filed a grievance with support of the NFLPA, it will go in front of an arbitrator. The complaining party (Reid) has a really really high burden of proof.

quote:

Section 1. Prohibited Conduct:
No Club, its employees or agents shall enter into any agreement, express or implied, with the NFL or any other Club, its employees or agents to restrict or limit individual Club decision-making as follows:
whether to negotiate or not to negotiate with any player;
whether to submit or not to submit an Offer Sheet to any Restricted Free;
whether to offer or not to offer a Player Contract to any player;
whether to exercise or not to exercise a Right of First Refusal;
or concerning the terms or conditions of employment offered to any player for inclusion, or included, in a Player Contract.

Any approval or disapproval of a player’s contract by the Commissioner, or any communication thereof, timely notice of which is provided to the NFLPA cannot be the basis of any claim of collusion. The NFLPA or the affected Player shall have the right to appeal the Commissioner’s disapproval of such player contract to the System Arbitrator, pursuant to Article 15 and Article 14.

quote:

Section 2. Other Club Conduct: No Club may have a policy not to negotiate with, or enter into a Player Contract with, any player who is free to negotiate and sign a Player Contract with any Club, on any of the following grounds, if such policy is inconsistent with Section 1 above:

quote:

Section 3. Club Discretion:

Section 2 above does not diminish any Club’s right not to negotiate or contract with any particular player on any policy ground not specified above.

quote:

Section 5. Enforcement of Anti-Collusion Provisions:

Except as provided in Section 16(d) below, any player or the NFLPA, acting on that player’s or any number of players’ behalf, may bring an action before the System Arbitrator alleging a violation of Section 1 of this Article.

In any such proceeding, the Federal Rules of Evidence shall apply. Issues of relief and liability shall be determined in the same proceeding (including the amount of damages, pursuant to Section 9 below, if any).

The complaining party shall bear the burden of demonstrating by a clear preponderance of the evidence that (1) the challenged conduct was or is in violation of Section 1 of this Article and (2) caused any economic injury to such player(s).

quote:

Section 6. Burden of Proof:

The failure by a Club or Clubs to negotiate, to submit Offer Sheets, or to sign contracts with Restricted Free Agents or Transition Players, or to negotiate, make offers, or sign contracts for the playing services of such players or Unrestricted Free Agents, shall not, by itself or in combination only with evidence about the playing skills of the player(s) not receiving any such offer or contract, satisfy the burden of proof set forth in Section 1 above.

However, any of the types of evidence described in the preceding sentence may support a finding of a violation of Section 1 of this Article, but only in combination with other evidence which, by itself or in combination with such evidence, indicates that the challenged conduct was in violation of Section 1 of this Article. Nothing in this Agreement shall preclude the NFL or its Clubs from arguing that any evidence is insufficient to satisfy the burden of proof set forth in Section 5 above.

Nothing in this Agreement shall preclude the NFLPA or any player from arguing that any evidence is sufficient to satisfy the burden of proof set forth in Section 5 above, except as set forth above.

I am Countering the last few posts you directed at me. You haven’t said anything of substance lately.

And you basically ignore anything I’ve said. So eh, frick off.

There's no collusion.
Teams independently just don't want him right now.

I'm gonna file a collusion lawsuit myself. Just cause I'm not 6'2" and can't run under a 5.5 doesn't mean they can't hire me.

I can't read all 8 pages. But I'm curious to know what the Players Union stance is on this?

Reid is an idiot for not letting this go, and he has absolutely no one to blame but himself.

Exactly. The kneeling could be forgiven, but his full blown Social Justice Warrior bullshite he skews on Twitter is why he’s unemployed.
No employer wants this crap in the workplace, regardless of which stance he’s trying to take.
Its obvious he and Kap are feeling guilty for growing up in good neighborhoods, with two parents instead of Poor in the hood.

Former Saints S Kenny Vacarro is also still a FA that hasn’t signed with a team and he never kneeled for the National Anthem....

Maybe him not having a team has more to do with Reid (like Vacarro) not playing very well the last few seasons than it does his protests.
