The only thing I like about Trump is he's not playing the race card. He's calling us all Americans.
Still not voting for him though

There is no one thing. It requires a complete shakeup of the system for there to be fairness. And it's not just blacks, its anyone who lives in impoverished communities including latinos and whites. There is a caste system in the US and the upward mobility from poor to non-poor is becoming more and more difficult
Whats the shake up? Just a couple of ideas please.

How quickly people like to turn on former players. This is laughable.
I don't care where he played ball. I used to think highly of him, but he's clearly a simple minded piece of shite. He insulted America for a ludicrous, bullshite cause. He insulted the flag overtly and intentionally, and I find that offensive and distasteful. frick him.

The problem with this protest is, the METHOD of the protest is dividing us further.
If you truly want these issues (which I don't completely understand, agree with, or disagree with) you need rational white people like myself to see the issue and want to help.
Sitting through a song that has represented America for decades and centuries is not an attracting protest.

Look at all the hypocrites on this site. How dare he express how he feels. How many of you actually read and comprehended on why he's doing this? So much for freedom of speech right? He's disrepecting the flag/our troops? Then why are so many of troops backing him?

All good man. I love my country and x tiger Reid. People are shitting on x tiger so I got pissed.
I can respect that.

But, to play devil's advocate(like I have been all week), can you not understand that the visceral reaction you have to defend ex tigers is similar to the one these guys have to defend the flag? I know because when I first heard of this whole Kaepernik thing, my initial reaction was to hate on him. But then I took a step back and tried to understand. And I do. Misguided as I think he may be, I respect his balls to not only protest, but to stand there and wear it and answer questions about it. I would never in a million years not stand for the anthem (as things are now), but I will try to recognize that I have a different worldview than a mixed, 26-year-old orphan(basically), and will not let myself get filled with such hate over anything pacifistic that he does. I let 18-22 year olds affect my emotions to a very unhealthy degree 12-14 weeks a year anyway.

But seriously, some in here seem to hate these guys more (or at least as much than) than the dude who actually drove down here and actually murdered our police officers in cold blood.

Did they even interview Eric?

Eric Reid's been dead to me since he couldn't stop a 4th and 44 on Clemson's final drive so I don't care about what retarded thing he does.

Eric Reid joined Kaep Reid is now dead to me. He has committed an almost unpardonable act. I suppose if he made a public apology for his mistake, I could forgive him. Until then, he can rot for all I care. It just goes to show how one mistake can eradicate a lifetime of goodwill. Never really cared for the 49ers, but now will pull for their annihilation week in and week out. God Bless America!!!
Man I've never seen so many whinny comments on this site. This is worst than losing the NC to bama. Grow some nuts and understand that all races and creeds in the US experience different life challenges. We are not all going think alike, especially because prejudice exist because of physical deferences.
Two questions: keeping your genetic features...
How many black men on here would like to exchange their national media driven perception with the average white male?

No, the method is not dividing us further--it's not doing anything, actually, which is my biggest problem with it--it's the thoughtless reactions that are most divisive.

"I'm not going to stand for the anthem until something changes" was the first thing out of kaeps camp.. they talked about a specific action throughout the press releases, I'm all for the point i get it but what single action are they looking for? Not trying to get in a racial debate but you'll stand when...Happens? For example woman equality workers is still working (black and white and Hispanic woman, i apologize for all races I didn't mention) still feel like there are times they don't get a fair shake but they do things like stand for the anthem to show hey, I'm just as good as you. If all woman stopped standing for the anthem until a change was made what would that change be? What action would lead to them standing back up? Certain laws only apply to women to ensure equality? What's the equivalent in this situation? I'm 100% for equality and I believe there are times, not this one, where people point it out unnecessarily, but I think this particular action leads more towards self-service more than actual proactivity.
