The comment was more about constitutional rights.

Which is why I asked you to provide some examples of people suggesting that Eric Reid shouldn't have the right to protest. It's a childish strawman argument.

quote:

I used “patriotic” because that is the word constantly thrown around by certain people who think anything other than right to own a gun is unpatriotic.

Another strawman argument.

Every country was. Pick up a book titled history and see for yourself how it was built. Wars and slavery. World history isn't a fairy tail.

Some grow out of it and prosper (US) and some don't and continue being shite holes.

Me? I'm simply saying rights of an American don't necessarily transfer to the workplace. I never even implied wishing ill will on him.

man, let it go. why do you disparage another persons rights or beliefs if they don't hurt you? you seem very angry. Reid has a right to protest or question things he doesn't think are right. that really should not anger you. this is AMERICA and we have freedom. sorry you think people should take different stances than you. it's unhealthy.

Yet YOU disagree with the fact that he disagrees. Makes no sense.

See that’s the thing. His beliefs do hurt us all . Race Grievance is a poison . It’s a killer. It’s the opposite of what succeeds in America. It’s an external locus of control virus that makes people feel disconnected from their own fate, powerless, victimized and resentful. Worst of all it intentionally seeks to divide Americans by race and pit them against each other. I hope Eric Reid lives to 100 , but I hope his Progressive Fundamentalism dies as soon as possible. It’s poison. He’s peddling ideological poison. He should know better.

If you want to be Rosa Parks, you have to get arrested. You don't get to be what Rosa is today during the "struggle." There were dogs and hoses and spit before there was glory. Failing to understand that is why there can't truly be a struggle. That America is dead and buried.

"I say 'during' because it's crazy that the narrative changed to we were protesting the anthem and that wasn't the case."

And there you go, he still doesn't get it.

This is what he should have said (even though it's not 100% true).

"In hindsight, even though it wasn't our intention, we should have recognized that we were being offensive to many of our fans. That was never our intent, and once that became apparent, we should have found a different way to get our message out.

It's not fair to our fans, who pay their hard earned money to give us such a great opportunity play football for money, to shove disrespect in their face during the course of the event.

To those that I offended, I apologize. I only hope that you consider our intentions, as I still believe that they are important.

As such, I will no longer protest during an NFL event. I will continue to be active and to support change in our society to address racial inequality and stop police brutality."

Instead, he said "You didn't get it, but I'll stop now that I need a job"

frick Eric Reid. I don't want him anywhere near the Saints, or LSU.
