re: Ensminger says the whole offense couldn’t handle audibles

We don’t read and throw. We call routes regardless of defensive alignment and hope it’s the right play versus the defensive call. The receivers don’t read the D with the QB and go to auto routes. They run routes regardless. When we call the right route it hits but there is no true check down reads in our offense.

The thing that's frustrating is, in the red zone with man to man with no help over the top and they don't check to throw and just run it.

Are you dense?
All I said was we needed another FB.
I never said out O out produced anybody's, or that all Os should have a FB, but I do think you need back ups that can play at every position. You don't?

I’m so surprised someone on 0s staff threw players under the bus again. What a shocker.

We have 3 on the team.
Walk on fullbacks are not uncommon.

You could have three walk ons and have nothing if they can't play at our level.

No. I think you tailor your offense to what you have, or you OC somewhere that doesnt pay 800,000 a year.

It's plain and simple. Our offensive coordinator sucks. People love him because he's "a Tiger," but he is a horrible offensive coordinator. The 2019 Offense is going to have the same problems as this 2018 offense, and we'll go 10 & 2 or 9 & 3. Orgeron is a stupid a*s idiot bafoon for promoting Ensminger to offensive coordinator.

That's exactly right, Curtis Dawson, and it is a laughing stock.

Agreed, but the reason for being frantic about the situation is that allevas career is tied to orgerons, and that ensmingers daughter is married to the owner of local radio media and they haven't been critical since moby dick was a minnow.

Are you seriously trying to imply that the NFL base their offenses off of Canada's concepts? If so, that's laughable.

We're stuck with these bastards. Hell will get a cool front before these degenerates go 11 & 1 and earn a playoff berth. But season ticket holders are going to continue renewing no matter what.

That's harsh man.
Ensminger did his best. He said himself he wouldn't have changed a thing about his decision making this season. We all need to be ok with that.
And we also need to trust that the head football coach knows what it takes to bring this program back to greatness. Would he have hired Ensminger if he wasn't absolutely sure that this was the OC best suited to do just that?
The kids have to buy in. If they don't, is that fair to blame him for it?

It's harsh, but it is reality. I've seen too many great offenses. Ensminger has never coordinated a great offense. He does not know how. He is not capable.

LOL! Just wanted to take a stab at it and felt Curtis Dawson sounded like one B. A. M. F.

So with a weak, oft injured OL, mediocre TBs, mediocre WRs, no big speed, little experience, and a QB who just got to campus; what would you do with all that talent?
I'd do what SE did, run clock and dink and dunk and try and move the chains that way.

I actually Thought that’s what E and O and all the pumpers said the offense fit out strengths and the players we have.

Coach Canada, does a phenomenal job of moving people around and running the same play from a gazillion different motions and shifts.
Sounds a lot like the praise they give Sean Payton on every broadcast about running the same play from different looks to keep the defense off balance.

From an offensive side, if you can spread it out and make the defense cover, it puts a lot of pressure on defensive players and it takes away from the blitz game.
This sounds a lot like the stuff we were talking about during the season, Rick. Slowing down the rush.
