Ensminger clarified Brady’s role before the Natty

I read constantly about what Brady may or may have done in his role as passing game coordinator. Ensminger is pretty candid and explains Brady’s role without sugar coating it in this interview time.

In short, he explains that Brady was better/ more knowledgeable with the bunch formations, 5 wides, and he had control from the 12 yard line in once in the red zone. So essentially, if it was a bunch set, 5 wide, or inside the 12 yard line, then there is a good chance it was Brady calling it. Brady was also the one responsible for talking with Burrow between drives so that Ensminger could be preparing for what they saw and how to attack the next drive.

Ensminger controlled the tempo, called our hurry up plays, and called our red zone plays between the 12-20 yard line for sure, along with whatever else wasn’t Brady’s expertise.

I’m sure he gave Brady full drives from time to time, but this was a valuable learning experience for Ensminger too. This offense is here to stay. We just have to hope we have the coaching to be able to teach it up the way it needs to be executed.

No doubt that Brady was instrumental in the evolution of our passing game and will be missed, especially the WR’s development, but make no mistake about it, Burrow was the difference. We will never see QB play at this level ever again at LSU imo, he was that good, and made an impact that is almost unfathomable
