because O is loyal. we saw the offense SE could build and it wasn't pretty. why didn't any programs or NFL teams reach out to Ensminger if he was so important to the 2019 success?

How do you know they didnt?

You think O is willing to risk his job as head coach to keep E at OC just because E is "loyal"?

What do you think they paid Linehan $800k to come do?

Imagine thinking Ensminger was a good coordinator yet you had to pay a “passing game coordinator “ $800k to join the staff.

Joe Brady made half of that. But was so successful as the true OC that they dumped even more money to make sure they continued that blueprint

Why is Ensminger in the OC position then, O Wise Lester Earl?

I'm not nearly as smart as you but I'd bet Linehan makes more because he has a ton more experience than Brady had.

Because he’s O’s buddy & he’s like able & he would never fire him

Right!

And you need more evidence that they don’t trust Ensminger to run the offense?

Ensminger was making the same amount of money until a recent raise(lol)

But Ensminger has said many times he'd rather be a position coach than OC.

He essentially is just a position coach and gets paid like an elite OC. What does he have to complain about

Please, would people stop trying to force feed "Ensminger is the architect" down our throats

Nobody said Ensminger is/was the creator of LSU's offense. He does call the plays and works with the passing game coordinator. This has been well publicized and discussed many times on TV during every LSU game. The bottom line is that Coach O hired all these coaches and it damn well worked yet some of you are still bitching after watching what was probably the best team of all time. Some LSU fans are chronic bitchers. It's funny and sad at the same damn time.

Okay?

I'm asking you why Ensminger is OC if he isnt capable of running the offense without someone holding his hand.

You said it was because he's O's buddy but E has said many times that he doesnt necessarily want to be OC.

So why is he OC if he cant run an offense by himself?

Well, Orgeron set it up and it works so what do any of you have to bitch about?
Ridiculous.

Orgeron trusts Ensminger. After what happened with Canada, I think O would rather bring someone in to help continue the transition to the spread offense vs bringing in an unknown again. It really should be a smooth transition with the experience Linehan has.

Whether or not Ensminger can do this by himself or what role he really had I don’t know and don’t really care. I think the question is can Linehan and E keep it up. Of course it won’t be what it was last year but can they keep a competent offense on the field with Brennan and the new OL guys or will we see our passing production revert back to the usual LSU numbers

He didn’t build anything from scratch. He stole Plays from the saints and Penn State and tweaked them for our team. That’s how you build a playbook. No one has a 100% unique playbook. But Brady put together ours and it was infinitely better than 2018.

The best play caller in the world
Is going to be limited by a shitty playbook.

Sure No ones playbook stay stagnant but also no one rolls out a half finished offense and say “I’ll wrap this up next year”

Then why are you asking how he did it in the offseason?

What’s don’t you understand?

I'm asking how a low level Saints assistant (that Payton didnt even believe was ready) came in and built the greatest college offense ever in one offseason by himself?

The dude is a miracle worker and one of the best coaches in history if that happened.
