Why is it so hard for the "fans" on this board to enjoy being in the midst of potentially our best season since 2012. We have problems that need to be fixed but those problems shouldn't negate all the good of the season.

Because deep down they want to be bama so bad and they can't... so it drives them crazy.

Because this is the Tiger RANT

People come here to air out their concerns about LSU sports, however trivial

It's not that serious. In real life most of us are just normal people enjoying our lives

I love what we've accomplished so far. Our drubbing of Miami and Georgia were definitely highlights.

However, after many, many years of cringe-worthy offensive performances, I can't help but lament the continued offensive woes through three years of a new coaching regime.

Southeastern, LA Tech, Alabama, and Arkansas were fricking ridiculous to watch.

I know it's delusional to expect perfection every game, but when we actually have multiple NFL caliber players on offense and we still have multiple drops per game and our offensive line gets blown the frick up by inferior competition, it's hard to swallow.

There’s many posters that lurk / post and are very happy with the season, but are concerned about the state of the offense. I’m one of them.

There’s also many posters here who would rather be right than see O have success. They want to make sure everyone knows they were the first to call O an idiot and shrimp boat captain. You can’t help them.

I think there was a real turn around that will bode well for the future. It’s hard to build a foundation on a raging dumpster fire. Program is stabilized and recruits will notice. Michigan,Tennessee, Miami and others got mired in decades of mediocrity, coaching changes, scheme experiments. Appears LSU dodged this fate.

Here's why -

Most of us here are from Louisiana. We've seen this story play out over and over again in our personal lives dealing with people around here.

There are those that are eternal optimist and bless their little hearts, even when things are bad they only want to see the good. The problem is, failure is the best teacher but if you don't learn those lessons because you don't think you've failed then you'll never get better.

This doesn't make us miserable people because we're not only focused on the negative. But we do see the negative as well as the positive. To continually strive for excellence you have to turn the negatives into a positive. You don't do that by hoping and praying. You do that by shining a spotlight on the negative and making sure that it gets addressed. Because eternal optimists don't do this they're doomed to their fate of mediocrity only they don't even recognize it as such because even mediocrity is sunshine to them. The rest of us who know better and shake our head in disgust

The feelings of 99.9% of this board.

Why is it so hard for some fans to discuss those problems? It’s a sports message board for fans, so I don’t know what some here expect.

While I understand the sentiment, there are those of us who understand we have failed and don’t get upset. We understand that by failing we have learned a great deal and our optimism remains steadfast. We think of failure as a reason to get up and keep going. Not all of us have to get mad when we fail. We may fail again and again but each time we will learn something new. Because there is always tomorrow, or next week, or next year. Unless you die, in which case you won’t care. Because you’re dead. Some people see it as a waste of time to get upset because you fail. Because it won’t be the last time.

Bama is a faceless killing machine.

I’d much rather have heart and lose a few.

Bama does what Nick says because it’s business. Always business. That’s no fun.

I understand this but there are ways to have discussions about the issues without crapping all over each other, this team, and staff. I would also point out that many of the posts "airing out cincerns" are rarely anything that would lead to a discussion on the issues of this team. They usually resemble something uninformed people post about politics on facebook.

You mean a school that puts every resource available into the athletic programs to the point where they have next to zero identity as a university in terms of academics
