Why is it so hard for the "fans" on this board to enjoy being in the midst of potentially our best season since 2012.

Because our goal shouldn't be to have the best season in 7 years.

Me too. Saban despite what you naively believe is not the only reason for Bama dominance. Hes a fantastic coach but the machine has rolled for decades so it's not just him. We have to find a way to beat them but being them is something else entirely and not something I would ever want as a proud LSU fan.

GTFOH with your reasoned thinking and sense of perspective.

You!
Must!
Be!
Angry!
At!
All!
Times!

If not, neither LSU football, nor America, will be great again!

Right, so if your goal is to make millions you should be unhappy with your first opportunity at 200k in route. Everything takes time if you only ever look forward to the final destination you will be miserable on the journey. We are 9-2 this has be a very good if not great season and I'm enjoying it while still looking forward to improvement.

If we were 1-11 last year and starting from scratch, that would be a good analogy.

Yes the Shula, Debose, and Fran years were something to behold. Bama is successful because Saban demands excellence. He has a well disciplined team and doesn’t accept mediocrity from any player at any position and it doesn’t matter how long you have been there, what your star rankinking was coming out of high school, or replacing a QB that went 26-2 as a starter because he wasn’t as good as the guy behind him.
Saban built the machine as strong or stronger than it was during the Bryant years.
You are the naive one if you seriously can’t see that!

We were 8-3 last year at this time with no hope for a NY6 bowl. This year we are 9-2 with a NY6 bowl all but locked up. When you are at this level it is far easier to fall than move up and we have moved up. There is improvement to be made and I hope we keep improving if we don't I will point out what I think can change.

I would also point out that many of the posts "airing out cincerns" are rarely anything that would lead to a discussion on the issues of this team. They usually resemble something uninformed people post about politics on facebook.

You want them to be champions....I get it....but posting constant misery during a 9-2 season is just sad.

Do you even enjoy watching football particularly LSU football. If we never achieve the level of dominance you apparently feel entitled to will you ever be happy watching LSU. If not you may as well stop watching. For me while the results are important and I hope this staff continues to improve this team I enjoy being at the games and being a part of the atmosphere at tiger stadium. I enjoy the chants, I enjoy the sounds, I enjoy the smells of fall, and I enjoy watching a sport that I loved to play at a level in which I never could. Football season is my favorite time of year and it is so disappointing watching fans on this board crap all over a season that has been very good so far.

And dont start with the "people cant take criticism" You are not bringing conversations in which to discuss. You and others like you just start topics that essentially are a mob of people chanting "it's still not good enough"

Yes of course I enjoy watching LSU football. And I don't think we're entitled to anything. Any success we get has to be earned. I want our team to be as good as it can be and I don't think our coaches have done that. This season isn't really much different than the last several. I don't see it as a huge reason to celebrate.

Look, you asked a question and I gave you an answer. I'm sorry you don't like it. If you don't want to hear the answer then don't ask the question.

You didnt answer though. You post things like
quote:

Yay! We didn't get worse!
dripping in sarcasm. We have differences in opinion apparently on what makes a good season. Having problems on offense doesn't mean 9-2 to this point is not a good season for me. To me it means we need to make improvements and I look forward to seeing what changes are made. I answered you and many others and instead of conversing you continue with your sarcasm and eye rolling at people who are enjoying what is our best season since 2012.

I would think they agree with you that their plans on offense haven't worked out this far, but the middle of a 9-2 season is not the time to make sweeping changes. I hope and believe O will make moves in the offseason. Have you ever been in charge of anything that didnt go as planned? You make the adjustments where you can but major changes aren't made till you have a chance to debrief and make the necessary changes, in this case I expect some changes to be made between the A&M game and the bowl game but major changes to be made this offseason.

I did answer.

Also I agree with you that you don't make sweeping changes mid-season. Those changes should have been made last off season.

We turned it around against Rice. I like where we are headed.
