This is the friendliest LSU board I have ever been to. I may hang around and post even more stupid stuff than this, and yes, I have it in me. You guys are great.

This thread is full of fail.

And I'm not even talking about the OP.

I think it was a good read - you might have to tweak some of the similes but nonetheless a good read.

Unless if by some freak chance of nature - that was a true story in which case I would be truly scared to be the dad.

pretty damn funny... I was reading it for the first time to my fiance.

she jumped on the 'ellis hugh' immediately...

true or not... it's funny - perhaps it's most funny to parents

Well I am glad a couple folks enjoyed my attempt at parody. I post on another LSU site as paper cat and have lurked here for a while. Some people on the other site thought it was funny so I thought I would float it here. I know how message boards can be with new posters but was taken aback a bit as to how kind of rude some of the replies were. I should have tried a bama board

I do loves me a good sports allegory every so often...

(I wish our fans' dichotomy wasn't so easily defined as you suggest)

Sheesh, tough crowd on this board

yea, many of the posters haven't had the pleasure of having children yet. even though i know you took literary license in your piece, i enjoyed it. thanks. what i understand as your main message was there is a lot more important stuff than football. again, thanks for sharing.........
