My memory sucks, but did TV really look that bad in person?

It’s not too bad for a 2003 clip actually.

Edit: I have a VHS recorded tape of the 2003 National Championship game against Oklahoma somewhere in my house. We’ve come a long way since then

I still have VHS tapes I saved.

Most are LSU games so I likely have it.

Today's TVs don't seem to be VCR compatible.

Watching that video brings back some good memories! Also reminds me how quick Lavalais’ first step was. He seemed to be in the backfield with the snap every play that year

I was there too. That games beginning sucked with the pick six, but awesome ending. Ole Miss fans wanted to fight afterwards telling us how much we sucked and could never compete with Oklahoma.

That game was broadcast in HD, at least in my area. I got a digital tuner PC card and recorded it in pristine HD to my hard drive. It's amazing. I offered it a few years ago to the guy running one of the LSU YT channels Boys From The Boot to make it available publicly in a better quality but he never replied after an initial exchange.

I've always said, even if he had not tripped, no way he was getting a pass off with that bullrush he had coming down on him!

I still have an old 26 inch box TV with the built-in VCR. It’s full of dust in the attic, but it’s still mine.

I imagine there is a display/audio to HDMI converter that would work where you could use an old VCR. I have one for my DVD player that has also not been used in a decade.
