I think Lavar has helped himself the most in the combine. If he gets a knock bc he wasn't a full time starter at LSU then that scout should be fired.
He was productive on the field and played a lot even though he didn't technically start. His measurable just confirmed the type of skills he possesses.

Shocked Minter ran the same time as Edwards and Montgomery. Edwards just made a bunch of extra money today at the combine.

All the reports were that Minter stumbled off the line and has already said he will run at the pro day, wouldn't be surprised to see him run high 4.6 low 4.7 at LSU.

love how people always say SEC has dominant speed and strength, yet the numbers never really pan out to be that way. Most LSU guys just kinda end up middle of the pack. Really just a case of top notch football players

And neither was the 3rd string guy actually. Lavar is a beast and will be a great value pick in the late rounds if he slips that far

If I remember Brandon Spikes from Florida ran something close to a 4.97 and a 5.0 for his 40 times at the combine. Minter is a football player. He will be fine. If he runs a 4.7 at pro-day that is probably closer to his actual speed.
