I don't have time to find the link but it's on YouTube.

Ed orgeron specifically states that ensminger is a great offensive mind but he wasn't up to speed to the spread/RPO offense. They brought Joe Brady in for that sole reason. He also mentions that this is JOE BRADY'S offense with some of Ensminger's wrinkles in it.

He might have misspoke but that's what was said in the presser.

I think it’s very fair to say this is not E’s offense.

I think is Jermain Burton who made a comment that Brady taking over the offense is why he’s coming here

I think this is what most people have assumed which is why Brady has received a lot of attention in the press. More than any assistant coach I can remember (outside of a coordinator).

I bet he misspoke. He meant to say this is E's offense with wrinkles from Brady. I hope I'm wrong, because I would love to see a young, emerging star offensive mind develop at LSU.

Based on what players and recruits are saying, this is absolutely Brady’s offense. Now as far as who calls plays, I’m guess E will unfortunately. But I hope I’m wrong

I think we implemented a lot of new things, not necessarily changed the whole offense. Keeping some things and adding a lot is how I’ve read it based on what info has been available

Pretty sure E will start, Brady will be eased into more responsibility as the year rolls around.

I’d hope so. He’s said to be very bright. Id love to see us have an innovative mind who could maybe be groomed for bigger things down the road

Why? To me E has proven to be a pretty good play caller that keeps the defense on their heels. He just needed some help with the installation of concepts in a modern offense. I thought he did a great job of calling plays when he filled in for the 2016 season, and he did what he could with what he had on the Oline last year. He just had Sullivan convincing him that they needed to go max protect, rather than getting the ball out quicker.

Obviously you’d rather have one OC that installs and calls plays, but this is gonna be the best we can do until O is confident Brady is ready. Regardless, I think E will do a pretty good job with the playcalling.

I have no problem with E calling the plays. He did pretty well with Cameron's offense when he was an interim. He has shown to be a good play caller, it's his ability to install and implement an entire offense that is questionable.

Wasn't it already stated that Brady will have the next play call ready and E will either make the call or make his own call?

This could be a great thing, or get dicey. If they have a great working relationship (everything reported is that they do) and they trust each other, it could work. It could cause problems if E is overruling Brady and it doesn't produce results. You could end with a situation of Orgeron having to step in and pick a side, which could either piss Brady off or make E the OC in title only basically.

Coach O has been very straight forward in communication with the public. I don’t think he misspoke. This is Brady’s offense, and it is clear that next year it will Be Brady as OC.

Joe Burrow was asked yesterday if this was a brand new offense. He responded saying "there are some new concepts, but the foundation of the offense is the same."

He did well with Fournette and Guice when we went up against defenses which were very weak against the run (like A&M that year if I remember right) but not so much when that wasn't the case.

Thats fine, but...

How do you expect Ensminger to effectively call plays during a game for an offense he didnt install?

Why wasnt Brady given the Co-Offensive Coordinator title?
