I hated the hire, I thought he was way out of his league.
I thought he could ride on the remnants of Miles' program, and with his passion (I didn't doubt that) he'd do fine until assistants moved on. Then, I thought it would unravel, because I didn't think he had what it took to adjust and develop.
I thought he lacked the vision to elevate LSU beyond 9-3 at best.

I fully admit, I was WRONG.
He had the vision to change LSU into an offensive juggernaut, and the ability to make that happen.
It wasn't JUST talent this season, he won every coaching matchup this year- outcoached Herman, Saban, Fisher, Smart, Mullens, you name it. He knew what he had, he knew what he needed to do, he pushed every button.

I don't know about anyone else, but I didn't hate him personally. I just wanted LSU to get the best. This season, at least, he absolutely was, and I'm damn glad!
