I think I understand the mindset of these people well enough to say that there's no fricking way they're going to pay 2 coaches $22 million to sit on their asses and NOT coach. Not to mention shelling out for a "big name" on top of that.
We're stuck. We may just have to take our lumps for a bit.

Our only hope perception wise if they want O gone is being a new AD in. That is always pretty much an automatic HC change when that happens. So the perception across the coaching blocks wouldn't take as much of a hit
