All this crap that Marcus Spears started about the record over the past 5years, who cares? That's why we made a coaching change. You can't hang Ed O because of Miles' recruiting and coaching blunders of the past. Coach O is not on the freaking hot seat after 1 loss, in his first year. Give the man a little bit of a break 3 games into his tenure. Let him build his team up the way he wants, recruit the talent he needs, and develop this young team that we have. No matter who came into this coaching position, we were likely to lose 2-3 games anyway. He's going to be around for a few more years minimum, so get behind this team or GTFO!

Well damn, his successor is going to have a HELL of a rebuilding job.

We might not be relevant for 8 years

2-3 games loss is fine. We already lost to MSU. No way we win at Bama. That's 2 loss. You think he only loses 1 more game. Then you are not facing reality.

LSU has not been relevant since 21 - 0.
Like Notre Dame, LSU football is living off the reputation of past accomplishments.

LSU got beat by 30 by State.

O is not stepping into some major rebuilding year or program in shambles. Everyone seemed to be in agreement that the issue wasn't players, it was coaching. Isn't that what we were told as things picked up as soon as Miles cleared his office? Weren't fans hoisting O up on their shoulders proclaiming what they had always known...Miles was solely the problem and even O, with great coordinators, could fix it all?

Now...LSU gets blown out for the first time ever by State, and we're being told that LSU's program is in such bad shape that it'll take time for O to rebuild it. When did it collapse...in the off season after the bowl win?

For frick's sake...LSU got beat by 30...by MISSISSIPPI STATE.

he should be gone no later than the end of 2018 unless he appears in an SECCG or Big 6 Bowl

"I know I inherited a top 15 team and another stellar recruiting class, but do you really expect this team to be great with a potential All American running back and senior QB? This is why they hired me, and not a casual fan, to be the head coach of this team."

i just love how the narrative for coach o constantly changes. last year it was, "he has to go undefeated to get the job". then it was, "well if he wins them all execpt bama he should get the job". then, "well if he maks the sugar bowl he should get the job." then, "well if he beats texas a&m and arkansas he should get the job".

then one of the reasons we are given that coach o is given the job is to keep continuity and not have to start from scratch. now 3 games into the season people are declaring this a total rebuild and coach o needs more time . if this dude was from anywhere but louisiana he would be getting destroyed right now

Do you really think Ark, UF, Tenn, and Auburn are lighting the world on fire? I'm not worried about A&M or OM. I think we can win every other game except Bama, and I wouldn't count us out on that one totally.

Not sure Alleva even cares as long as the team has a winning season, makes a bowl and people keep forking over the $$$.

That's fine, and I don't disagree, but do you really lay all that on Ed O's head?

He's not getting 4 years. He's not getting canned after this year either, but if things continue to slide into next year then he will indeed be on the hot seat. He knew coming into this that it wasn't going to be 4 year rebuild job.

I do think he needs time. We are only one recruiting cycle in. Miles depleted the defensive and offensive lineman positions. You can't fix that overnight!

LSU can easily lose every SEC game this year. Denying that makes you seem delusional.

Case in point...show of hands for anyone knows someone that wanted Miles fired after the loss to TENN at home in 2005 after Katrina and Rita? And not just felt that way then, but continued to think it would have been the right call even after the 2007 NC game and beyond?

Raises hand...

But we are being told that getting drilled by State is ok, because...something, something, something...

You're utterly clueless if you think that.

Depending on how bad it gets, he'll get this season and next, Max, if it heads south to the extent we saw Saturday night!

Some of you Pumpnuts didn't think LM was going to get canned early in the season like he did either.

People are fed up, out of patience and ready for heads to roll early on when it's apparent that there is gross negligence involved.............
