What’s with the scoreboard? Not sure how the point system works.

And Jobert final gets his first chance to play tonight and deposits one in the RF bleachers.

Best we can all tell is that Johnson uses some sort of performance scoring system. Like you get a point for hits, walks, good defensive plays, a K by a pitcher. Errors in the field or walks by a pitcher result in points being taken away. I don’t know what all the criteria are, but that’s an example of some.

I think that does it for Coleman tonight. Definitely not as strong a performance as last week. Got knocked around a bit tonight. Think he gave up 5 hits with 2 HR and a 3B.

Yes. About 4 rows up the bleachers in RF.

Hunt laid it out the other day I believe. Buy, yeah that's what they're doing.

Really good double play. Glove flip to Thompson who times it perfect.

One thing I have been impressed with so far this fall is that Safford has come to play. He’s turned in some great defensive plays including a nice glove flip double play just a minute ago. And so far his bat looks improved.

I don’t know if he makes the team, but he has come a long way from that horrendous first game in the regional this past June.

Homer runs from Jobert and Priester off of Coleman tonight
Thompson oppo triple
I don’t see Gio competing hitting wise to play OF
Maybe one freshman plays and that’s an OF on an everyday basis

I like these situational setups to start the inning. And using specific batters to do it. Never saw this with the previous staff.

The OF is stacked with only one spot available. Pearson, Stevenson, Gio (who’s about to hit), Jobert…

Yeah, I had noted that last weekend too. The defensive drills have been a change as well as previous staff never did that during the scrimmages.

Are you already penciling in Drost at a spot with Dugas DH?

If Drost can show the pitch selection he had during that AB, he’s going to be one of best deep threats behind Berry.
