He was literally posting until right before Travinski hit the go ahead HR against Ole Miss. After that, he logged off.

I bet his/her vag is sour right now

If you're not going to play Stevenson or Pearson in the outfield for the 9th, what options are you burning by pinch running one of them?

I’m not particularly convinced Pearson is all the great of a runner, but I agree on Stevenson.

Regardless, he is one of the best coaches LSU has ever had

Yep, he'll probably be in the same tier with Mainieri when it's all said and done, which is a top 15 coach of all-time in college baseball.

Doesn't mean it's a stupid post if you question how the pitching in the 8th was handled and why we pinch ran a catcher with a 1-run lead. The pitching worked out in the end and losing Milazzo at 2nd ended up not mattering because of what happened next, but they were questionable coaching decisions.

He's, at the very least, a faster runner than Milazzo.

Me too but more because Kling is coming off a Hammy injury. Also, the base runner should have been moving or had a much better jump.

This ain’t 12yr old travel ball dumbass. Runner has to see the ball down. Bad bunt.

Agreed. That bunt was on Paxton. No big deal, but it wasn't M's fault that he didn't beat it to 2nd base.

One can question a decision all he wants if it's just a question to know why, but if it's a sideways question to say a decision was a dumb one is the issue, for we don't know the intricacies of what is going on behind the scene.

There was nothing potential about it. Merrifield's blunder cost them that game.

Ok, from the outside perspective it seems dumb that Cooper faced more hitters than Ack when we were playing lefty/righty matchups in the 8th.

All of that was true until we took the lead.

Johnson clearly had a plan and he executed on it. I have to admit I questioned it at the time because I wasn’t counting on Hurd and wasn’t sure they had enough pitching left. I defer to Johnson’s understanding of the capabilities of his staff. He clearly felt Hurd could be trusted in that capacity and he was vindicated. I do still agree with Broski that it seems like it would have made more sense to flip the roles assigned to Ackenhausen and Cooper though.

Dude I’m with you, but he had to leave that kid in too long tonight because no one was ready to go.

I know that shite is much more difficult than folks realize but based on the track records of some of our bullpen guys, we need to be better prepared to move more quickly when needed.

Hell, I’m to the point now where if we can hold the opposition to fewer than 10 runs, we can win a baseball game.
