They're not college towns like a Baton Rouge, Tallahassee, etc.

Baton Rouge already has a major sports presence that's only dedicated to their local universities. There are not a lot of teams that have both a major university presence and minor league presence existing simultaneously.

True. All I could come with were Eugene, Columbus, Durham, Memphis, and Louisville.

To be fair to Dugas, nobody saw Jake Slaughter lasting this long and he wasn’t half the player at LSU that Dugas was. Anything can happen at any point in time

I agree Dugas was far better, but Slaughter was toolsy, wouldn’t you say?

RIP New Orleans Zephyrs

Ownership did them in. Had multiple opportunities in early 2010s to get back with Astros and failed.

Slaughter was the better prospect. That has very little to do with their stats at LSU

Man why can’t BR have a minor league team?

Sadly, LSU kills that in its crib.

Could put a great 7000 seat AA stadium near downtown (green space between downtown and LSU). Put restaurants and bars near it.

But LSU doesn't want the competition

Serious question, what MLB 1Bs play a better glove than Tre? Dude's a magician.
