Myles Brennan has had 13 passes dropped this season. That’s the second most in the country and more than Joe had dropped all of last year in the regular season (12).

Simply piss poor.

Oh I saw your post history where you talked a bunch of shite about Myles and now he’s making you look like the stupid frick that you are

Like this beauty
quote:

he played in 6 games in 2017. Experience? He learned from the best leader and QB in history. Experience? Coming into this season I expect an experienced back-up QB to perform better than this. Don’t give me the off season chaos excuse. Every team has had that. He shite the bed.

Hahahaha you said you don’t think he’s a starting QB? Holy shite that’s good

quote:

He isn’t. He is 1-2 starting. Numbers do not lie and he had a chance at the end on 2 plays to Marshall.

Let’s assume, for the WRs sake, half were his fault. 6-7 less drops over three games, 2 per each loss. Things could look a little different than 1-2

Didn’t Brady work on that hard in camp?

Just seems like another missed aspect. Just sayin.

Wow, that is one miserable post history. I did find this gem though.. from 9/4/20 re: “Brennan’s progression throughout last season”
quote:

We didn’t see enough snaps against 1st tier talent to judge if he really progressed. Let him work in camp and place no undo expectations on him just because he got in for a few meaningless snaps. That was the one thing I really didn’t like about last season was the lack of opportunities for him against more first team talent.

Then on 9/27/20:
quote:

he played in 6 games in 2017. Experience? He learned from the best leader and QB in history. Experience? Coming into this season I expect an experienced back-up QB to perform better than this. Don’t give me the off season chaos excuse. Every team has had that. He shite the bed.

Or this..
quote:

Did you forget about 2017 6 games or the 4 years he has had? He was an early enrollee. I expect a guy with his experience going against very complex defenses under Aranda to be better. He had plenty of time and reps to prepare. Make no mistake. His chemistry with Racy was NON EXISTENT despite the fact that they were both 2’s going against our previous 1’s. To top that off a leader doesn’t say “I gave it my all”. Well if that was your all step aside and let a freshman take it because that just won’t cut it. Period. Zero excuse.

The tirade bitching about how we weren’t running RPO’s right was pretty entertaining though. Because, you know, apparently it’s not an RPO if the quarterback never keeps it and runs.

Too many WRs in rotation. They can’t get in a groove with all the subbing. I wish they’d settle on the WRs that will be on the field most of the time.

We operated last year in mainly 11 personal and kept all the guys in.The wr rotation definitely has been a part of the drops!! Just find your main 3/4 guys to build consistency with Myles and it’ll improve

Depends on what they count as a drop.
Mid your behind a WR on a crossing route and they get their hands on but can’t bring it in, is that on the QB or WR?

Some passes are recorded as drops even if a player makes a spectacular play to try to catch them. Emery did that once last week, and if they even consider a pass that went through Carter's hands in the endzone, he never even touched it.

Other than that and a couple more like thag, yeah it's been a problem.

I get what you’re saying. I think it’s a matter of touch or rhythm with the receivers. They’ve dropped too many regardless but they’ve still done a good job. Burrow has had to deal with many drops from veteran receivers in the nfl this year. Chase and Jefferson were on a whole different level last year.

Not that it matters but Myles was not an early enrollee. St. Stanislaus does not allow that.

Same thing. Should I go grab yours?

Are you saying that with Burrow play we wouldn’t be 3-0 right now? How about QBs like Lawrence that can run? Or even the UF QB that can run?
He got popped and would have been out for this game had it not been moved.

This is hard to compare without links but if it is the same people doing the charting from one year to the next and the criteria for a "drop" has remained the same then it can be a good comparison.

I agree with other posters that the constant shuffling of the wr is adding to the drops due to lack of timing; rythum etc.
Another issue that is impacting timing in a negative way is the OL play.
Also due to covid etc the wr most likely did not do all of the wr drills that they did last year.

There are many contributing factors but the bottom line is it needs to be cleaned up.

The game plans and rb and wr rotations have been truly odd to say the least in the first 3 games.

Many teams would love to have MB and these recievers. Many things were said to remain the same offensively but didn't happen. Too many dropped passes to be sure but that normally improves. Many things contribute to a dropped pass. This is the LEAST of our worries.

Here is what is troublesome.

OLine thin and out of shape.

Low percentage passes and we don't incorporate the backs into the passing game and it doesn't look good when they do. LSU struggles to get the tend involved in the passing game. Brady is missed big time. That culture is mia. Another fib by O.

A pathetic defense primarily the secondary as we know. Simplification of the D is what they should start with and build on that IN PRESEASON CAMP, not after the 3rd game. Same thing was done behind the scenes last year along with players coming off injuries. DLine overweight AGAIN.

One comparison that is super irrelevant is comparing a team w/l record to a qb. MB is 1~2 this year as a starter. Actually, LSU is 1~2 with MB as the starting qb. LSU would be 3~0 with MB as the starting qb and in the top 7 nationally if we had a competitive defense of any kind. This is with 13 stopped passes or 23 dropped passes. MB doesn't play D.

Very dissapointed in O with the preseason talk about the D being better than last year?? Why the defensive issues physically and mentally didn't show up until the first game is really crazy. This makes this staff look middle school.

And neither of those losses are in him. Could he have played better against state? Sure. Would we have won if he did? Probably. But he’s not the one that was record breaking bad against an offense that has averaged 7 points a game since or against a first time, true freshman qb without his top WR’s in a brand new system.

They did this in 18 and it worries me.

Who is the last LSU QB, other than Burrow (the best on the history of the program) that you feel like would have this team 3-0 right now?
