I pray that they reach out for Fargas being one of their alums. 1st I don’t think the Tennessee AD would be that stupid. 2nd our dumbass AD Aleeva would probably offer her a raise to try and keep her

This baw obviously wasn't paying attention when Geno, Pat, and Pokey were the pinnacle of Women's basketball. That team packed the PMAC more often throughout the 2000s than men's basketball by far.

Pretty much every sport outside of basketball and football at every university loses money. Baseball for most schools loses money as well.
If we are gonna field a team, why not try to be good at it? WBB doesn't have to be such a money pit if they would invest in putting a decent product on the floor and having standards. The program in the early 2000's packed the PMAC a lot, more often than the mens team at times and generated a lot of great publicity nationally for LSU.
This has nothing to do with being a women sport. WBB will never be at the level these other sports are. The reason why most don't give a frick now is because the product on the floor is complete shite. If you put a shitty product on the floor, people aren't going to want to watch or invest in it, this goes for all sports.

I think every athletic program outside of like 20-30 in the nation lose money every year.
The LSU athletic department made a huge mistake of not trying to go hard at Mulkey whenever Kramer was here playing baseball. Could have gone after her with the checkbook (women's basketball appropriate money), and the heartstrings to be here for her boy.

IMHO, going to 5 straight final 4's and not winning a single game, much less a NC, did more harm to the image of the program than if they hadn't gone at all. Good players don't want to go to a program infamous for not winning when they get in the final 4. They want to go somewhere where at least they believe they have a chance to win it all.

Much better than losing money AND having a crappy coach hence a crappy team. THe "coach" needs to "GEAUX". Womens BB is sometimes hard to watch but if you have it at least try to win.
