Honestly if Donta was still at LSU I could understand him tipping poorly. College students are relatively broke. I get that.
But this man is in the NFL. The checks have already started rolling. No reason at all he should tip that poorly. Period.

I guess the $2 dollars an hour he makes from the restaurant didn’t buy a lot of loyalty. His career as a waiter is ruined.

Of course you are. I'm also betting you're the first one to complain about poor service while being served by minimum wage workers at establishments where tips aren't commonplace.
Any great server is providing a high level of service based on the incentive of a good tip. Without that incentive, there's no reason for anyone capable of offering great customer service as a server to put up with your bullshite in a restaurant. This leaves standard fast food employees waiting on your table.
I worked as a server during college along with other great servers. I assure you if they offered me $5.15 per hour only (min wage at the time), I would have worked elsewhere while someone who doesn't give a shite took forever to bring you your food, never refilled your drinks and never brought you napkins, "waited" on you.
Some people shite on servers and refuse to tip out of principal. But go eat out with your SO or family, get bad service, and you'll whine and moan about it.

One is only obligated to pay for what is consumed. Whatever tip is left should be appreciated. Restaurant workers should be payed a real working wage, as they are in civilized countries. It’s ridiculous how people in this country has accepted this stupidity. Tipping isn’t a part of going out to dinner. Only in this country is this BS tolerated.

Yes, I think if you are unhappy with service, you should simply mention what you are unhappy about to the waitstaff...they may not have any idea that you are not satisfied or there may be a perfectly legit reason for the issue.
I find it to be kind of chicken shite to not say anything and just stiff the waitstaff without giving them a reason.

Start paying servers $10 per hour and see how fast the quality of service in restaurants drop. The people who actually hustle and provide a great atmosphere for your dinner aren't going to put up with the bullshite of restaurant patrons for $10/hr.

That is total BS. Any tip one gets should be appreciated. The restaurant you work for should be paying you a livable wage . If they can’t do that, they have no business in business. That’s how it works everywhere in the world except this insane country.
