Never had to pay to sit down or ice, I do have to pay for water though. Plus food is very reasonable for the price and all

If the manager has any sense, they are getting rid of that server. It looks extremely bad when you have employees crying on social media about patrons.

It's one thing to privately talk about that, but to post it on social media, it's extremely poor taste. And I am in no way saying what Donte did was right, if the wait staff provided good service, you should never tip less than 5% like that, but the point here is an unruly employee making things public that makes your business look bad.

It's no different than if I took a customer's email to my business stating they couldn't pay their invoice for another week because they were waiting for money to come in and posting it on social media saying "look at this deadbeat customer not paying on time!".

You just dont do some things, and if I did that, I would absolutely be fired.

Well I have definitely paid for all of those things at one point or another. Not all the time of course.

Regardless I’m not arguing the European system is wrong. I actually like the European system. I’m simply saying that until we go that route tipping is a moral obligation.

Next time Jackson goes in, everyone in the restaurant will know who he is and how cheap he is. He will probably get a little extra added to his food.

I’m sure you do, because your baseline thinking is, “they don’t deserve a tip at all.” Though I’m sure your perception of yourself and reality are different.

The only thing worse than a shitty tipper is a shitty tipper who tries to justify his cheapness.

Tip extremely poorly if the service was indeed up to par.

Point here is what the wait staff person did was wrong and should be fired for it if the manager has any sense.

On the flip side, if Donte received adequete/good service, you should never leave such a shitty tip as we all know, or should know, it's customary to leave at least a 15% tip on pre-tax amount for adequate/good service.

Well the presence or absence of your personal morals has no bearing on whether something is a moral obligation or not. Neither does your acceptance of it as moral obligation.

Dante is the player that tipped poorly not Guice. That’s why he asked that. He’s poking fun at you

considering that morals are subjective and man-made, I would have to disagree with you

My morals obligate me to tell you to stop talking out of your arse

You figure it out. And tell your dumb arse friend that sometimes people want to chill quietly and EST dinner and NOT dap with the waiter and hear them speak non stop! Dontre has friends, your friend is a waiter there ONLY to deliver services. He doesnt need more friends! Get it?

There's a reason athletes and celebrities get paid millions. You are ultimately an entertainer dependent on the fans and fame for your livelihood. Sure, you want and deserve privacy, but the money is dependent on the fame is dependent on the people so suck it up, be gracious and enjoy the spoils of fame!

Anyway, if Donte wanted to be left alone I'm sure the waiter would have gotten the hint. Read the waiter's twitter. He was under the impression everything was cool with him, Donte and his friends. That's why he was shocked about the tip and even the post with the ticket was jokingly mocking Donte. It wasn't hateful.

with drink tabs, I always go by the number of drinks not the total. It doesn't take them any extra effort to pour a $15 craft beer in a glass than it does to pour a $2 domestic in a glass. I'm not tipping $3 on that craft beer.

Safe to say he probably didn't get 5 drinks for $120 here, and even if he did, still poor taste to tip a buck a drink if it's a ~$25 drink
