BLACK???? Where did that awful idea come from? Why not throw in say, Grey, Brown or even Red? shite, I love our unique color combination, leave it alone! Yellow jersey with white pants or even all white is okay.
As far as purple uni's..they look shiney on TV. Don't like that at all. I don't recognize us as a team, as the players look like grape popsicles running around. Yellow/white with purple week in and week out is Tradition. It says LSU.

i love our uni's and think our helmets are pretty unique. even if this loon did get his wish and the uni's were changed there would be a massive outlash from the fans and they'd just go back to the way they were.

1) I think the BCS era has shown us that college football is about more than winning. See: teams that never lose don't get MNCs, teams that lose get to share revenue, etc.
2) There is something to be said for marketing. The more shite we sell, the more money LSU gets, and the more money goes to the athletic program. This means better facilities and nutrition and training and equipment for the athletes.
3) The better we look, the easier it is to brand us.

bullshite. I've lived in 7 states and have heard ONE person ever say that. My pac 10 friends bag on LSU, but they admit they look good.
Not hard to beat ASU's colors, though.
