Domanick (*Davis) Williams one of my favorite of the lesser talked about LSU RBs

2003 4th round NFL drafted to the Houston Texans. 2003 Pepsi NFL fan vote Rookie of the Year.

Rushed for 1000+ yards in his first 2 seasons (2003 & 2004). Contract extension prior to 2005 for $22 million with $8 million guaranteed.

In 2005 rushed for 976 yards in first 11 games before blowing out his knee and going IR.

One of my favorite LSU RBs of lesser familiarity with the "new" fans.

Domanik Davis was excellent at LSU and in the Pros.

Lesser known? Not to LSU fans.

One of my favorite too! The sugar bowl for Illinois was one of my favorite games and he had a damn good day, was very sad when he blew out his knee and his NFL career never recovered.

He reminded me of Roger Craig with those high knees and hard running style . He was so fun to watch and belongs in the LSU greats category.

Was still screwed on that punt return for TD in Blacksburg back in 2002.

God what a fun game! had there been a playoff in place we absolutely had a shot, nobody could stop that offense at the end of the year.

I vividly remember all the talking heads picking Illinois to wax LSU because of their supposedly awesome QB and passing game. Well there was a waxing that took place but it was all LSU. Reed was unstoppable if I remember correctly.

Not sure how but we stayed at the Illinois hotel and I had to listen to Big 10 bullshite for two days, a very pleasant experience at the dome and later in the Quarter!

They didnt have anybody close to Reeds speed, even when they tried zone he would run by the safety and Rohan would throw that high bomb. Pitch and catch.

He and LaBrandon Toefield killed it in 2001.

Really got the "running backs by committee" movement started.

2001 SEC Champions!

To be honest I didn't even care about winning the championship that year, had been so long i was just happy we finally won the Sugar Bowl after a great upset in the SEC championship, very underrated season 2001 was!

Double d and mauck were great in that seccg in 01 after Rohan and toefield went out with injuries. DD was always great. Made plays. Great returner also

It always looked like he fought for every yard. Loved watching him play. Great Tiger!

Toefield was such a bruiser as a RB and punished defenders who attempted to tackle him. Too bad he was injured. Toefield Davis/Williams and Josh Reed were the RBs and Saban saw the need to have Reed on the field and wisely moved him to WR. Great great years 2000-2003 to be an old school Archer/Hallman/DiNardo Tiger fan to have satisfaction!

Devery Henderson was also a running back in 2001. I can remember him getting stuffed on a fourth and one (or 3rd and 1) versus Florida in Tiger Stadium. Not sure when he was converted to WR, but it was at least by Nov 9, 2002. There's one play he made that stands out to me on that day in Lexington. Not sure if anyone else will remember...
