yeah but 1 bad pitch can result in a HBP

you need to miss 4 times for a walk.

I don’t think so.

He may be a good coach but the results have been poor.

Jay needs to move on and he will.

Obviously our staff is top heavy.

Yeskie has been unable to get anyone else to emerge and even a guy like Shores who has some tools has gone backwards.

I think I will be right.

We are more too heavy than any team in contention to host a regional.

Our staff falls off much quicker.

I think you are slightly overrating every team’s pitching staff. We just notice our faults more because we focus on every pitch of the season. Auburn for example who is in regional host contention has major problems outside of Dutton. (Yes I know we hit like shite against them) that doesn’t mean they don’t have a lot of issues with pitching. That’s just one example but several teams are in the same boat.

You obviously don't watch many other teams.

I couldn't agree more. It seems like we went for the tallest, hardest 'throwers' they could find, rather than find or develop pitchers that know how to actually pitch....which would be actually throwing pitchers over the plate especially early in the count, so that when they do have to throw a strike they don't get hammered....because that is what I have seen all year from these 'throwers'. Even flat 95 is not going to be consistently effective in the SEC.
I think Yeskie took the lazy way out in recruiting transfers, so I have little respect for his abilities.

Will you be mad when Yeskie is back next year?

Mad? No

Assuming nothing changes, I’ll be surprised though.

This is very reminiscent of the Joe Sloan situation.

This board has convinced themselves that he's a bad coach based on feelings and "vibes".

And now everyone will be surprised when he isn't fired.
