The A&M matchup excites me a lot. I hate A&M. I know it isn't recent, but I still consider them a rival, especially their freaking fan base. I would love to play them in Dallas. I think it would be fun. That being said, I do understand your point about it being a "no win" as far as the program is concerned, but for the fans i think it is a win win situation

I think it is a good chance for LSU to play in another state they recruit in.

No I have a lot of Aggie friends. So beating ATM would mean more to me than beating some yankee school up north.

The only positive I see in playing A&M is the opportunity for LSU to get use to the stadium and field. Other than that I much prefer a New Years Day bowl game against the Big Ten co-Champs.

I just don't get it. I don't see how LSU fans could be excited about playing TAMU.

Listen to your elders. You have no idea how intense this series was, and will be again come January. History counts for a lot, even in this age of interwebz and twitter.

Question: Which would you prefer:

1. LSU beating a lower ranked team or LSU beating a higher ranked team?

2. LSU losing to a lower ranked team or LSU losing to a higher ranked team?

The locale of the games should be way down the list. I say it makes no sense to want to play the 18th ranked team versus playing a higher ranked top 10 opponent. No sense whatsoever.

I'd rather play Baylor.

Yea it's a weak matchup. How can AnM beat the north and south B12 champs but they did not win the B12. How can you beat Neb, Tex and Okla and not win the B12. It just shows that they lost to some conference bottom feeders.
Secondly, how cam the media and Cotton pass up Les playing his old school in OSU or even play against his old DC. Seems like a better story line to me

I thought for such a good football conference, the fans would know more about the subject.

ATM lost 3 games in a row early in the season to Ark (who you also lost to), close game @ Oklahoma State (who we SHARED the big XII south title with), and Mizzou. All top 14 teams in BCS.

We also benched the starting QB after the mizzou game, and since have won 6 straight including wins against OU and Nebraska (both ranked BCS #8 when we beat them)

ATM is playing well right now. But they are second class program that gains you nothing by beating them.

There would be a lot of national interest in LSU/Mich St. LSU/TAMU, not so much. Besides, playing the 18th ranked team is a no win deal for us. Why would we not want to play a top ten ranked big 10 school?

Yes A&M has won some big games this year, but remember they beat Nebraska with a hurt Taylor Martinez and an Oklahoma team that has struggled on the road this year except for against Oklahoma State who has a joke defense. LSU should be fine in this game and should win by atleast 17. Then after losing the aggie faithful will proceed to tell us how classless and uneducated we are.
