Not only did they beat OSU, they then beat a ranked Iowa team last Saturday. So, I would say it's about the scheme with LSU. Ensminger is NOT the answer.

No, the players executed well and resulted in a big upset. That is why they call it upset, Purdue will not OSU on a regular basis with the same coaches.

Ikr..

Regardless if he is no Saban.

The talent gap here is still massive..

And for the people saying he's no Saban, then coaching does matter.. so coach up against Saban. Others have had success against them offensively. At least better than zero points twice at home.

Purdue is 5-4 with a loss to Eastern Michigan. They played an Ohio State team that was overrated and overlooking them. Alabama will NEVER overlook LSU. This is the game they circle on their calendars each year.

I'd rather be 7-2 and top 10 in the nation than be 5-4 and unranked but beat bama.

Not saying you're wrong about LSU being thoroughly outcoached, but it's a poor comparison.

Purdue would thoroughly wreck LSU.

You can talk shite about the EMU game but every team has 1 game where it can't get out of its own way. UGA had that vs. you guys. The EMU game was played in a tropical storm. We ran at will and the weather was so bad we couldn't throw. Stupid penalties and mental mistakes killed us in that game.

We could bring up your loss last year to Troy with a QB that Purdue didn't want and got beat out by our starter this year....
