or did they out coach OSU?

asking for a friend

last time I checked OSU has had the #1 recruiting class in the big 10 for the past 4 years atleast...

purdue's recruiting class was
14th in the big 10 2015
14th in the big 10 2016
14th in the big 10 2017
11th in the big 10 2018

andddddd THEY GOT WAXED BY PURDUE
Out schemed and out coached with ... guess what.... WORSE TALENT
but hey Steve E is the guy and we got shut out because our players suck compared to bama's...

Wait wasn't steve E calling plays against troy :jump1:
guess they out recruited us too

Urban is no Saban, but still a good point altogether.

well it's obvious purdue has five star players all over the place. That's the only way to beat a team with more talent.

This was the approach I was hoping to see Saturday. Scheme and energy won the day for Purdue.

Get this logic out of here.

It's perfectly acceptable that Coach O can only be successful with superior talent on the field.

Purdue has a senior quarterback and some serious playmakers. That Ohio State defense isn't in the same realm as Alabama.

tOSU is not what you think it is talent wise. Urban is /was a good coach, but the negative publicity he's been having as of late coupled with his condition is problematic for tOSU

the debate here is talent

if there is a gulf of talent disparity, then the team with less should just quit trying per some.

It's just crazy. We've seen over and over again the type of offenses that give Saban problems. It's the tempo, spread concept driven offenses that don't allow his defenses to get set that have success.

We keep trotting out there with the same stuff that doesn't work. It was blowing my mind to see us huddling for 10-15 seconds instead of running tempo.

Alabama is better I agree

But also, this is Alabama's weakest defense in years (Its still a good D)

I’m not making an excuse because I agree, but bama was super motivated for this game.

Their mindset was to kill LSU. You heard Saban say as much postgame when said they were tired of hearing how they haven’t played anyone.

They had a point to prove and they proved it.

OSU could’ve been caught sleepwalking vs Purdue.

Ohio State isn't s dynasty, Meyer is in trouble and isn't Saban and we all know upsets happen.

Do we fire our coaches every time we get shut out? If we did that we'd have fired Nick Saban in 2002 when #10 Bama beat us at home 31-0 when we were ranked 12th. Or we would have fired Les in January of 2012.

So that motivation is stronger than the motivation to topple #1?

No, but getting shut out in consecutive home games might warrant it.

Yeah, I don't know about that. For some reason or another, Alabama is always one step ahead of us.

No that’s ridiculous. On that day Purdue executed and played better

Ohio state played flat as frick and made unforced errors all game. Purdue basically had one guy Ohio State couldn’t cover and a running back that had the game of his life.
