They weren’t. Compare the mid-90s teams to our competition in some old videos. It was men amongst boys.

This team is about the same size as Skip’s 2000 championship team

Miss st’ s best hitter is smaller than just about everyone on our team except Hughes

LSUlaw I would like to genuily thank you. CPM obviously saw this thread and quickly impletmented a weight training program. It has led to 6 runs pretty quickly.

LSU baseball is getting the baseball hitting facility at Alex Box Stadium completely renovated, including the addition of a team weight room. Something Maineri was promised when he turned down Texas to stay at LSU.

BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU Board of Supervisors on Friday approved the expansion of the baseball hitting facility at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field. The project will add 4,300 square feet of space to the facility, including a 3,500 square-foot weight room.

Check out this article from LSU’s very own Dr Michael Prevost. The benefits of creatine are way beyond 3% strength gains. It’s the work you can put in that makes the difference. With that said, Skip’s boys were on the juice too...just like everybody else.

Do we absolutely know 100 % the 1990's LSU baseball teams used Steroids ? Or is this just an assumption ? Honest question.

Yeah, Skip's teams lifted weights and used creatine and now we don't do that. That's why the players look different. Sure.

Still had to put the bat on the ball. I’m pretty sure they also played defense and pitched in big situations.

So no other teams had players working out and using creatine.

Shouldn’t need many free weights for 150lbs players

Creatine? Wtf. If you honestly think it’s because of creatine, and not a time period where not many have a frick about baseball.

Name me the clearcut leader of this team. Start your pondering there.

Injuries.

The problem with that article is that you don’t consistently work in the specific range of 150% of your VO2 max when you’re doing things that are actually beneficial for athletic performance. Effectively, it makes you a little stronger on your last few reps when you’re doing normal rep ranges. Have you ever used creatine for athletic performance? Not sure how anyone who has can argue that the benefits aren’t minuscule
