I'm not saying Wade's race was a factor in his hiring. However, hiring a strong black coach would have been advantageous to LSU

Hiring a coach that wins will be advantageous for LSU

and I don't see Wade working out well

He doesn't have a long track record, but there's nothing in his resume so far to suggest he won't have success.

I do believe that, overall, LSU fans are not as supportive for a black coach as they are for a white coach.

You may be right, I disagree with you though, but it's not like LSU hasn't hired black head coaches for basketball before.

Bottom line is that if Wade, or any coach has success, what color they are is irrelevant. It's irrelevant anyway, but kids want to play where they know they'll succeed regardless of what the coach looks like.

You know this.

If Johnny Jones' history reflects the benefits of hiring diversity, it may be a time to give diversity a rest and rely on some other hiring criteria.
Like race-neutral competence.

It's about winning at LSU, not color...

The frick??? There may have been five people here in support of Les Miles. That's about .001% of the fan base. There was about 2 people here in support of JJ, so based on this season, that's about 2% of the entire fan base. I would say LSU fans are less supportive of white coaches based on the numbers.

Did the lack of a transgender bathroom dissuade you from going to Chik Fil A for the chicken sandwiches?

Probably not.

Good brands will be bought by the majority of buyers.
I guarantee you that the 1 percent of children and teens concerned with made up issues like diversity are not dedicating their lives to sports to the point where they would ever sniff LSU athletics.

You are an AD and can hire any coach you want to be the head basketball coach , who would you hire? Obviously LSU cannot do this , but let's say you can . Who do you want?

Chinhoyang, just like Fred Sanford threatened Lamont's Asian friend, Ah Chew:
"I'll really close your eyes for ya".
