Guy took the fall for a lot of bad coaching.

You’d think the Moffitt stans would give it a break after seeing the players rave about the new strength coaching staff, how elite they are, and how much of a difference they’ve made so far

Moffitt fell from grace and was surpassed by most others some years ago. He was put out to pasture and needs to stay there.

Yes, I agree with that--Moffatt was surpassed by most others.

I also think Coach Kelly correctly wanted to see LSU's conditioning/weight training program go in a different direction to hopefully be more successful in the future.

One of Coach Kelly's first orders of business that he addressed when he arrived in Baton Rouge was firing Tommy Moffits arse. It was a past due and necessary change. The strength and conditioning program was in need of a major overhaul.

The strength program was fine as proven by this draft. New coaches bring in their people, that’s all it was.

I mean it's the truth. The strength, conditioning, and food programs were horrible.

The players and coaches have said as much. Players didn't even have meal plans.

And yet for some reason Saban made a run at him after he lost Cochran

Really makes you think

are you thinking of ND? There’s a cafeteria, that all players can eat 3 meals a day, 30 feet from the locker room.

Who said this?

This is true. It’s also true that the business changed. It had been some theme since we were the best conditioned, strongest team on the field.

Quite some time.

do you think those players might have been drafted Higher had they been in proper shape during the season. Most went to outside fitness coaches to get ready for the draft

Lol I’m “dumb as frick” and you think this. It’s so obvious who the suckass Catholic high losers/friends of his sons are on this board. I know as well as anyone what his reputation was in the program and in strength coaching circles and it was time for him to go. Cry about it some more

Need to face the facts. Moffit was once great but has been a liability for the last few years. Glad he’s gone.

Moffitt deserves credit for his good years here.

But the past 7 years give or take has been second rate to acceptable in the S&C dept.

Outside of 2019, where those dudes had leadership and wanted it themselves. The teams consistently had injuries and looked tired. Our lines were always getting shoved around.

He needed to go. His peak in 07 to 11 was great. But the game passed him by.
