I don't really know whether Stud leaves or not. People here are indicating that they don't think he leaves to join Meyer, and that may be the case, but Meyer and Ohio State likely won't be the only schools offering.
My concern is with the consistency of our offensive production over the next few years when we are stacked with talent and should win 1-2 BCSNCG and be a top-3 team for the next 3 years.
IF Stud does leave, how do you find a coach who is willing to combine his coaching/playcalling with Kragthorpe's.
IF Stud stays, but Kragthorpe for some reason doesn't, is there a big dropoff in offensive production. Many people seem to think that Krag has much more influence on playcalling, etc. than the average QB coach.
We seem to have a good thing going with these essentially co-offensive coordinators. I think that both of their skills ( Stud's O Line and Blocking knowledge and Kragthorpe's QB/passing/taking advantage of defensive coverage ) compliment each other to create an effective offense. I really hate to see a wrench thrown into this well oiled machine.

Quite right. But where else is he going to find the talent & the potential that he has at LSU? Nevermind the fact that we pay assistants on par with the best programs in America. There's also little to no pressure on him to truly produce on the recruiting trail, which outside of Ware he hasn't really done all that much of.
This seems like pretty simple math to me from his perspective.

I think we're on the same side of the discussion at this point.

He definitely does. We have always had a collaborative effort, but I think Stud is trusted moreso than previous OC/Crowton. In that sense, I think he's left alone somewhat. Krags gives him input & they're up there together. I have heard its working very well.

I do too, but we can't keep paying Krags what we're paying him, as well as Stud. Krags' health will likely play a major role on what decisions Miles makes going forward. Depending upon how that works out, we may have a nice little ride for the next few seasons.
EDIT: I also think Stud also has a daughter whose at U-High right now. Pretty sure it'd be tough to leave, though Krags did that with his sons.

nor do I, and most importantly, nor does Les (if I may be so presumptuous as to guess what goes on in his mind). I think he'll work out the titles and responsibilities, and the bean counters will work out the money.

Any indication that Stud wants to leave aside from speculation? Didn't Gilbeau report this?
From what I've read, Meyer wasn't too happy with Stud after he went back to Bowling Green. Seems that LSU will be giving him a retroactive raise, plus he's got a full cupboard of talent here. Any reason why he'd want to go back under Meyer's shadow?

Maybe so, and honestly, I can understand why. He went back on his decision. However, that was 10 years ago. After 3 BCS bowl wins, 2 national championships, and tens of millions of dollars, do you guys honestly think Urban is holding on to some sort of petty grudge? Do y'all actually think these 2 have not had a conversation in 10 years? C'mon.
And anybody thinking that going from co-OC here to OC at Ohio State--especially for an Ohio native--is some sort of demotion are fooling themselves. Ohio State is a great job. If he leaves, I would certainly understand it.
