I ask this because most of our offense lately has been generated within the first 5 yard of the LOS and we know how big and athletic bamas front 7 are.

With that approach, can we move the ball consistently Or does LSU have to push the ball down the field to keep their defense from cheating up?

If I'm Bama, I take away everything short and force Etling to beat you 10+ a few times before adjusting.

Thoughts?

Nah they can just stay at the team hotel. O will order them a pizza and some wings and buy them Cards Against Humanity.

ETA: ofc they need them. They need them badly.

There ain't much we don't need to win tomorrow.
We'll need all facets of our team to ball out.
And, they will.

So that's the key then right? To do something we haven't been able to do with consistency lately, against one of the best defenses in CFB.

I think Canadas offense is dynamic enough to create opportunities near the line, but I think Bama plays man solo on the WRs and we have to beat that several times.

Well if our plan is to Foster Moreau and JD Moore then to death, it’ll be 8 quarters without scoring so the WR better ball out.

Absolutely we need to threaten the middle of the field and down the sidelines. I would love to see more screens, wheels, and seam passes tomorrow. I think Canada will be creative with the plan and hope we can execute. We will need our most complete game yet to have any chance. I hope Guice will Yeldon them on a screen to win it.

On defense we need to protect the edges and get push with the DL. I am interested to see what Aranda will do and wonder if Devin will shadow Hurts.

One trend we've seen on defense is they have gotten better over the course of the game which is a credit to Aranda. I think if we can do that again we have a chance as long as we can move the chains with some consistency to keep them fresh.

If we can move the chains we will eventually score. Canada will adjust to their defense.

But we need success with some plays to set up others.

Absolutely!

In fact, if LSU has any hope of moving the ball I think the WR's have to play big...literally. Bama is going to crowd the box to stop Guice and make Etling beat them. No secret there. So LSU will have one on one chances with their WRs. Put the ball up and let your big WRs go get it. Ole Miss did that. Clemson did it. LSU has recruited 6'3"+ WRs presumably for a reason. Use their physical advantage.

I've been noticing the wr's have been blocking well lately. if we want to go wide we need this.

they will have to stay active and alert.
