Besides woman’s basketball, it’s hard to think of a program that isn’t doing well

In spite of the clown, not because of him.

So does Alleva get blame for extending Miles with a big fat contract after he was ‘getting offers from Arkansas’?

Yes he's made me feel much better about our sports program...now that he's gone.

He deserves credit for helping to ruin the lives of innocent young men while at Duke.

He does deserve some credit. Should he have been kept as AD? No. He may have gotten lucky or genuinely did a good job with coaching hires, but his inability to cope with controversy and to properly manage the department was too much.

So why did the decision makers fire him then? Since it's so clear he is great at his job and all

No. His contract with Orgeron was still ridiculous with his buyout. He wasn’t in demand and the contract could have severely hampered LSU moving forward. Obviously we all now feel Orgeron is doing a fantastic job and wouldn’t trade him but his handling of the end of miles and the coach search was horrible. And also what he did to the tailgating and Aramark was worthy of being fired as well.

Of course he does. Tards are quick to show lack of brain matter.

Coach Oeaux deserves the credit. Alleva screwed up the Miles transition so royally that Coach Oeaux got his chance at his dream job, and has proved up to the task beyond most of our hopes. The 3rd outstanding football head coach hire of my 80 year lifetime (Dietzel, Saban) and the first "accidental" one - so all credit to the coach himself.
